Angels Fall
One of my favorite things about working in the music industry is when I experience what I call, “5 second-in love affair” with a band. How best to describe this… Well, it is when I get to listen to a new band that I have never heard about before and I play their music and within the first 5 seconds our love affair begins. This doesn’t happen as often as one would think. It is just something different than the usual excitement about the band. It runs much deeper, it is through hearing their music that I am just spellbound by them. Today, it happened once again. Within 5 seconds, the music of Angels Fall had me start my love affair and I am completely hooked.
Angels Fall is from Los Angeles and is Joel Jorgenson on Vocals and Guitar, Ben Jindra on Bass and Vocals and Jordan Plosky on drums. Their acoustic driven rock songs with an alternative edge, deliver much more than great sounding music. They can transport you to a specific memory or even bring clarity to a situation of your own. That is what I first felt after listening to two songs by Angels Fall then I read a quote by Joel Jorgenson, lead singer of Angels Fall that describes it perfectly. “My goal is for people to attach a memory to the songs when they hear them, because that’s what music did for me when I was younger,” Jorgensen explains. Well Joel, job well done! That is exactly what your gift of music has done for me as well as all of your fans. I look forward to hearing more.
Check out their song ‘Drunk Enough” from their debut album, “Yesterday’s Gone” which you can download on Itunes or buy from their merch site.
Earlier this week they released their video for their acoustic version of “Yesterday’s Gone”. This song is beautiful in every way and spotlights their captivating style.
After I get back from NAMM, I will schedule an interview with these great guys and get you more information on them. For now, send me your questions for them. Until then, take a listen and begin your love affair with Angels Fall.
~ Enjoy, Marisol
