Today our featured band is Smash Fashion. This is one band that as soon as you take a first listen, you will be hooked. In a time where many bands are chasing the new sound or trying to conform to certain critiera, you come across Smash Fashion and it is pure unadulterated, addictive, rock n’ roll. They bring out this nostalgic rawness of 50’s rock and fused with a 60’s mod vibe, but in no way sounds dated. They are fresh, new and exciting. Their album, Big Cat Love has been quite an addiction for all of us here at Music Junkie Press. I don’t think a day goes by that we aren’t cranking up some of our faves like Marionette, Junkie Luck, or singing along to Stay Off My La La.
The full bodied album is one you will listen to from start to finish. You will be captivated by the edgy yet inviting vocals, swirling guitar riffs, and toe tapping rhythms. Definitely a must have! Also make sure to pick up their 45 vinyl featuring Junkie Luck and Long Blond Animal.
