They have worked hard to get their new album, Victims & Villians finished and now these determined rockers need your help to insure that everyone will get a chance to hear it. Music Junkie Press: Thank you guys for taking the time to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press! We understand you have finished your album Victims & Villains, where did you record the album and whom did you work with?
Jandre: Thanks Music Junkie Press for having us. The new album “Victims & Villains” was recorded at Rezenent Studios in Cupey, Puerto Rico with producer Leo Alvarez. Leo is also the recording, mixing and mastering engineer of the album. He truly is a studio genius.
Music Junkie Press: Now that it is finished comes the big task of getting it released and promoted. You have teamed up with Indiegogo for a campaign to do that, can you tell us more about that?
Jandre: We have worked with Indiegogo before and it was a success. It was not an easy task though. It took so much work for us to accomplish the goal. And this campaign is also being very difficult to achieve. We are really counting on all our fans and friends for this to happen. Music Junkie Press: Which song on the album are you most excited for everyone to hear?
Jandre: “Hollow” is a great song, so is “Pre-Violence.”
Music Junkie Press: We know how hard it is to get albums out there and just by what I heard of the album, I want it to get out there too! Instead of selling mangoes which I am sure are delicious, what can we all do to help and make sure Victims & Villains gets distributed and promoted?
Jandre: Got mangos for a dollar! LOL! We have so many perks and new merchandise bundles available. We even have a pre-order for the album for just $10. All we need is for all our friends and fans to contribute and help by sharing our campaign. If you like our music and want to see our long awaited album get out, then help us out! People have no idea the amount of money and time we have spent on this album. It has been so difficult, but so worth it!
Music Junkie Press: I am sure there is something for everyone’s budget on the perks for the campaign so every bit helps. What can you tell your fans about how much this album means to you all?
Jandre: This album has taken over four years to get done. There were times when we were recording that we would get frustrated and pissed off at the producer or at a musical situation or my vocals would give out or JuanMa would get stuck in a drum part. We had a lot of homework to do. Sometimes when we thought we were ready to record is when we were not ready at all. I even wanted to just quit the band at times. It was very intense! At times I even broke down and cried like a baby. All just part of the process of making something great!
Music Junkie Press: What was the inspiration behind it?
Jandre: We inspired each other. We only have this band and nothing else. This is all we talk about. This is all we want to do. For Christ’s sake, we moved out of our regular lives to do this. We had good jobs and left it to do this. We still have a lot of work to do, but we will archive this.
Music Junkie Press: Can you tell everyone what can they expect from this new album?
Jandre: You can expect a very raw sound, meaning organic tone. It’s heavy, dark and lyrically good stories. The drums are so present, guitars to rip your face off, enough bass to make a girl cum and vocals can be melodic yet aggressive. We wanted people to be able to see a movie in their heads when listening to this album.
