Friday night we were treated to a night of great music. It started off with an acoustic set by Dead Frets, then onto a great indie punk set by Divided Heaven and here we are at the spectacular set of Travis Hayes and the Young Daze. Singer/songwriter Travis Hayes had his complete band with him and they put on a great set. The set list for the night included:
- Song From a Movie
- Young Daze
- Follow Me Home
- Bath Salts
- Towns Like These
- Night Swimming
- Twenty Nothing
- Teen Haze
- Warm Bodies
If you are from the Bay Area and haven’t been to a Travis Hayes show, then you are missing out. It is a full on energetic set that infects the crowd as they are singing along and dancing around the room. His music is like an instant shot of adrenaline and feel good vibes. His heartfelt music will captivate you and feed your soul. Check out the photos from the set by our Rockin Ryan:
One thing that drove me crazy at the show, was while I was trying to enjoy his set, you could hear a group babbling so loud. It was so distracting and quite disrespectful to the artists on stage. I know that it is nice to get together with your friends, but please refrain from the loud talking during the set or if you must talk, then take in the hallway. It wasn’t like the occassional chitter chatter, this was full on loudness by a group, talking about their weekend plans. So Travis, if you are reading this, accept my apologies on behalf of these Chatty Kathys, Enough said! Check out some great videos of their set:
Make sure to visit their social media sites so you can stay up to date on their latest news. If you get to a show, be sure to pick up his vinyls or you can head over to his website and get some goodies.
