Bad ass blues rockers DELTA ROSE kill it at The Troubadour

We have been featuring the bands from Saturday night at the Troubadour which was the CD release show of Diamond Lane. Make sure to ready our features on all the bands; The Book of Curtis, Bad RomanticsLove and a .38, and Diamond Lane. Now we are ready to share with you our feature of Delta Rose. Delta Rose had the last spot of the night for the record release party of Diamond Lane but that didn’t stop them from coming out and delivering a smokin set of rock and roll infused with blues and a groove that gets into your soul!

With there being a late start, Delta Rose played a shorter set which left me wanting so much more as they did a kick ass set! One thing is for sure, this band is one of the best live bands out there. They are such a young band but have showmanship that is well beyond their years. While many young bands are out there creating music that sounds as if it is a carbon copy of eachother, Delta Rose is creating their own style of music. It is pure blues and rock n roll and it is addictive. They played a couple of their new songs in their set including one of my faves, 10 years. Spencer put down his guitar and gave us a special treat as he played the keys. It was amazing to watch Delta Rose perform and even more so when I looked down to see Dizzy Reed in attendance as he watched their performance. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend Dizzy Reed plays keyboard on their song, 10 Years. Another highlight of their set is when they played One To Many. That song is an energy inducer and has one of the catchiest choruses out today. We were singing along as loud as we could.

They have a new 6 song EP that they are finishing up and we can’t wait for you to hear it. To all the people who are crying out for new music and to bring rock and roll back to the forefront, Delta Rose is the answer to your rock and roll prayers. Their new album shows how much this band has grown in 7 years, each one perfecting their own art and have mastered their own style. As I have said before, You can feel the passion in their songs as one message rings true…. These boys are ready to ROCK! Check out the slide show of photos from Rockin Ryan here:

From the studio to the band, there is quite an amazing amount of talent put into this stellar album. The album was recorded at the legendary NRG Studios, mixed by Steve Hardy (Blue October, Vertical Horizon, Joe Bonamassa, and many more), mastered by iconic Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Ramones, Pantera, and many, many more). The album is produced by Bill Schleifer and Isaac Hasson. It truly is a work of art and we are even treated to Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dizzy Reed (Guns n Roses) who plays keyboards on their song 10 Long Years. The album is filled with smoking guitar solos, cool group chants, vibrant blues licks, solid drumming, infectious basslines and the most captivating and edgy yet sweet as honey vocals you will ever hear.  Delta Rose’s new album has definitely polished and perfected true rock and roll.

You can check out our interviews with Delta Rose  from our recent posts here.  They are definitely one of the hardest working bands in Los Angeles as they perform as often as they can. It is in their blood to perform as these guys definitely belong on stage and they put on a show that has you begging for more.. They have one of the best live shows out in the music scene today!  Also check out the bad ass tribute video that Rockin Ryan put together which features footage and photos from their set the last time we saw them at the Troubadour:

We will see when we can bring you more details about a release date or track listings.  For now, visit their social media sites,  pick up their current self titled EP which is available on Itunes, and crank up DELTA ROSE!
