With less than a month away, I am having a hard time containing my excitement for what is my most anticipated album release. Their seventh studio album “Sway” by Blue October is set to release on August 20th and it is definitely one I have been anxiously waiting for. I have been a long time lover of Blue October and their emotionally driven music that truly has a life of its own. Their music has been there for me in my darkest times as well as my most celebrated moments. They are like that true friend that is always there for you; whether it is to ride out the storms or admire the beauty of the rainbows. You can’t call us fans of their music, because once you fall in love with their music, you become a family. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard from people about how Blue October changed their lives, helped them through their deepest struggles, kept them going and inspired them to be a better person. I have my own personal stories of how Blue October helped me and you can read more about those in my previous posts.
For now, I want to make sure everyone knows about this new album. I have heard several of the songs, and I am in awe of how they can continue creating such wonderful works of art. This album truly represents such a wonderful time in their lives. Justin Furstenfeld has always written straight from the heart, whether it was hard times, struggles, divorce, pain, happiness. He truly reveals himself through his songs. This time is no different as Justin allows us to share in his beautiful world and positive outlook. He simply makes me want to be the best me that I can be. As Justin states: “This album is about why life is so beautiful. It’s about facing fears and recognizing miracles every day. It’s about enjoying yourself and realizing that life is not something you can half-ass.” Justin’s brother, Jeremy has also said: “The band is in a really great space now, everyone is healthy, happy, and doing well. That’s changed our point of view, and you can hear that new perspective on the album.”
It is almost as if we have all grown with Blue October, we have faced our fears, met challenges, survived hardships and we can all now try and enjoy our new life in a positive way. For those who are still suffering, we can be there to pick them up and help them along the way. One thing rings true with Blue October (fans) family, when one hurts we all want to help. We share in troubles, pain, good times, and more. Even if we are all the way across the country, we stay connected through Twitter or the Blue October Fan Community.

I could not have said it any better! I feel in love since I heard their first album. I have always expressed my emotions with music and listen to every type, Blue October is the only band that has touched my inner soil and helped me deal with things I have never dealt with. After meeting them to find out how amazing they are on stage and personally, I have followed everything they do and continuously amazed at the thing they do. This band does not just talk they make an impact on society with change from web pages to congress. The first show I went with on other person since then then numbers of people joining me at every show are in the dozens. Thanking me for the invite because it truly is amazing to witness the performance.
