SHINING, the extreme metal band from Norway have returned to North America and have just kicked off a tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan. You can find tour dates below. To get everyone geared up and head to their high energy performances, SHINING have released the live footage of their set from the 2013 Øya Festival. Frontman Jørgen Munkeby commented, “One thing that sets our live shows apart from albums is our extended, improvised transitions between songs, and this show has some of the coolest improvised sections. Just check out the last songs, ‘HEALTER SKELTER’ and ’21st Century Schizoid Man!‘” Check out the video here:

The SHINING’s latest release One One One, made several notable “best-of-2013″ lists and was even nominated for the “Metal Album of the Year” Spellemann Award, (comparable to our Grammy awards) “One One One” features “a corrosive and creative hybrid of industrial vocals and beats, jazz signatures and black metal aesthetics” (Noisey).
