Hitting the Truly stage during BottleRock Napa 2023 was Oke Junior. More about Oke Junior: Matthew Osivwemu, also known as Oke Junior, is a hip hop performing artist from Oakland, California. When Oke was twelve years old he moved to Napa to live with his older brother Anthony. It was in Napa where Oke would turn his life around and began taking music seriously. His brother Anthony, who was also a music artist, became his music mentor.  After winning multiple talents shows throughout Middle School & High School, Oke knew music was his calling. He was heavily influenced by 90’s and early 2000’s hip hop and R&B. Admiring artist like Mac Dre, 2pac, & Snoop Dogg. Returning to BottleRock Napa was The Alive. With influences ranging from Sabbath, Nirvana, Rush, to Idles, The Alive was launched between surf & skate sessions in 2018. They once again delivered a standout performance! About The Alive Featuring Bastian Evans (18) on guitar & vocals with brothers Kai & Manoa Neukermans (18 & 14) on drums and bass. The Alive have been skating, surfing, and jamming together from 6 to 8 years old. Mama Said; a fan favorite at BottleRock 2023

Another great band I wanted to let you know about from BottleRock is Mama Said. This Bay Area rock band has such a cool retro inspired sound, reminiscent of 70’s/80’s classic rock. The band has not only one but two powerhouse female vocalists and they work in such a cohesive state to create their own sound and style, like no other. Their set brought the energy to the Allianz stage and the crowd was dancing along to their guitar driven songs. Whether you like classic rock or new rock, Mama Said have exactly what you need!
