Loverboy delivered a hit filled set for the Thunder Valley Summer Concert Series

June 9, 2014

Saturday night, we were baking in the sun as we headed to Thunder Valley Casino Resort for the first of their Summer Concert Series. The lineup started with an awesome set by Eddie Money, and finished with Rick Springfield.  Right smack in the middle was the hit filled set by one of my favorite 80’s bands, Loverboy. One thing is for sure, these guys definitely still “have it” as they treated the crowd to an energetic set and had everyone singing along to their favorite songs. The crowd was filled to capacity and everyone was up out of their seats dancing and having a great time. This was one of the most energetic crowds I have seen in a long time. With the successful lineup of the night, there was non stop entertainment and smiles across the audience. Thunder Valley really knows how to kick off the season with a full on party! Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of Loverboy‘s set here: I forgot how many great songs Loverboy had. I know that [Read More]

Eddie Money kicks off the Thunder Valley Summer Concert Series with a Shakin’ good time

June 9, 2014

Summer is finally here and one thing is for sure, we love all the summer concert series. Just this past Saturday, we headed up to the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, CA to cover their first summer show featuring Eddie Money, Loverboy and Rick Springfield. We will featuring all these bands but wanted to start it off right with the awesome set by the Eddie Money Band. Temperatures hit in the 100’s Friday and it was definitely one of the most sweltering afternoons. That didn’t stop the energy that Eddie Money and his band gave to everyone that night. They took to the stage at 6:30 and it was in the high 90’s and there was not an empty seat in the house. They kicked off the set with the crowd favorite, Baby Hold On To Me. What was awesome was that everyone in the crowd, forgot about the sweltering heat and was on their feet dancing and singing along. It was one of the most energetic audiences I have seen in a long [Read More]

It is Mayhem Monday and our featured band is KORN!

June 9, 2014

We have less than a month until Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Today for our Mayhem Monday feature, we wanted to spotlight one of our favorite bands, Korn.  I am really looking forward to their set at the Festival. We saw them last year at Aftershock and they were the absolute highlight of the three day festival.  They have such an intense live performance that truly captivates you from start to finish. Their album, The Paradigm Shift had received instant acclaim since it was first released last October and continues to be one of the best Korn albums and the singles continue to rock the charts. You can pick up The Paradigm Shift on iTunes here. One of my favorite songs on the album is  Never, Never and you can check it out here with a tribute video featuring photos by Rockin Ryan:   Korn is: Jonathan Davis – Vocals James Shaffer – Guitar Brian Welch – Guitar Reginald Arvizu – Bass Ray Luzier – Drums So make sure to pick up your tickets for [Read More]

Devil You Know is a crowd favorite at Regency Ballroom for Golden Gods Tour

June 8, 2014

Earlier we brought you our coverage of Butcher Babies and of course headliners, Black Label Society from their Friday night sets at the Regency Ballroom for the Golden Gods Tour. Now let me tell you about the Devil You Know. If you haven’t heard of them, you WILL definitely be hearing about them. This band is of supergroup caliber and is brimming with amazing talent. You might think it was a new band; but it has been nearly five years in the making and started with guitarist Francesco Artusato (All Shall Perish, Francesco Artusato Project) and drummer John Sankey (Devolved, Fear Factory Divine Heresy) wanting to branch out beyond their metal backgrounds. Together they wrote dozens of songs and when they brought the material to former vocalist for Killswitch Engage, Howard Jones, they had found their perfect vocalist. On bass you have Ryan Wombacher (Bleeding Through) and Roy Lev-Ari also on guitar. Together, this band fused their talents and created a solid lineup. They recently released their debut album, The Beauty of Destruction on Nuclear Blast Entertainment and it [Read More]
