MACH22 delivers a sweet rockin ride with their new album set to release in May

March 19, 2014

Philadelphia hard rockers MACH22 is set to release their debut album, Sweet Talk Intervention on May 6th. This album is set to take you on a sweet rocking ride filled with killer riffs, soulful melodies, bluesy vibes and magnetic vocals. Sweet Talk Intervention was Produced by Jeff Labar (CINDERELLA) and recorded at Dragon Sound Studios in Nashville, TN. Engineered by Ronnie Honeycutt (JACKYL). Additional engineering and tracking done at Tribe Sound Studios in West Chester, PA by Brian Davis and mastered at Sterling Sound in NYC by UE Nastasi. With all that amazing talent in the making of this album, it is no surprise that it will become a must have album. MACH22 won the praise of Slash  as they were hand chosen by him for the Grand Prize Winner in Guitar Center’s Onstage with Slash contest. They definitely have proven to own the rights for that title since they deliver a bad ass rock sound with bluesy tones and soulful touches that will have any rock n roller nod in approval. Our featured Bottle Rock Napa Band of the Day is an all time fave of mine: Gin Blossoms

March 19, 2014

Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is Gin Blossoms. Gin Blossoms has been one of my all time favorite bands and always reminds me of summertime.  I probably think of summer since I remember having my favorite Gin Blossoms Dusted cassette playing on my long summer drives back and forth to LA. I must have worn out that Cassette that summer of 1990. I remember playing them long before my friends hopped on board in 1991/1992 as they re-recorded several of the songs after signing to A&M Records and instantly grew in popularity. Gin Blossoms’ songs are always catchy, fun and carefree. The perfect backdrop for any band. Their music has been described as alternative, melodic rock, pop, folk, and so much more. If I was to describe it I would say Gin Blossoms is like a fun in the sun summer day. If you could take the memories of good times spent with friends, young love, simply having a good time and feeling carefree; that is what Gin Blossoms sounds like. Of course, because [Read More]

Steel Panther’s new album ALL YOU CAN EAT is a face melting, panty drippin, baby makin album!

March 18, 2014

We have all been waiting anxiously for the new album All You Can Eat by Steel Panther and the time is almost among us! Only two more weeks to go!!! Well, I have to tell you a secret, I got to hear the new album today and have to say one thing…….. HOLY BALLS! THIS ALBUM IS FUCKING AWESOME!! It has everything you could want in rock and metal from anthemic rock songs, arena size ballads, blazing guitars, great harmonies, power house drums, sexy bass lines and those 80s style vocals that we can’t get enough of. There are some bad ass guitar solos, smokin riffs, catchy choruses, I just can’t tell you how epic this album will be.  The songs are fun and infectious and you can’t help but love them. Definitely a party album for any night of the week.  If they had a panty meter for this album, it would be a full on soaking wet one for this new album!  We will have to watch out for the next baby boom [Read More]

Ed Kowalczyk is our Bottle Rock Napa 2014 Featured Artist of the Day

March 18, 2014

Today we have a very special treat for the featured artist/band of the day. It is Ed Kowalczyk (former lead singer and founding member of LIVE) and he is going to bring his stellar voice to Bottle Rock Napa 2014! I still remember the first time I heard the amazing voice of Ed, it was back in the ’91/’92 and as usual, I went out in search of live bands on a Friday night.  My group of friends and I went to the Paradise Lounge and the DNA Lounge in San Francisco and LIVE was just about to perform there. I remember getting up and going right to the front of the stage and watching the entire set in awe of that amazing voice. Ed’s voice is powerful yet vulnerable, commanding yet inviting, just pure blissful. Ed has ventured out in his solo career for the past several years and have had quite a successful run. When he performs you may get treated to some of your favorite LIVE songs or revel in the bliss [Read More]
