Concert review: Attila, The Word Alive and Carcer City by Alex Bock

April 30, 2017

Munich, Backstage Halle, April 25th, 2017 Another night in my 2nd living room… only one of the venues was occupied that night, the Halle and I was heading there to see Attila with special guests The Word Alive and Carcer City. Opening band was Carcer City. They’re a five piece from the UK, signed to Stay Sick Recordings (Chris Fronzak’s label). Their sounds is probably nothing really new, but what new band can create something that hasn’t been there before? Never the less, they played a good live set. Even though at the beginning the venue wasn’t that packed, they managed to get the people closer to the stage and mosh to the music. The Word Alive and Attila both played an almost equally long set. Looking at the people, both bands seem to share the same audience, because there were many people in Attila shirts singing and jumping along during The Word Alive’s set and vice versa. The Word Alive played a set list with a mix of new songs like ‘Misery’ and [Read More]

Interview with Bishop Briggs from her headlining tour in San Francisco at legendary Fillmore

April 25, 2017

With BottleRock Napa 2017 just about a month away, we were excited to catch one of our favorite BottleRock Napa Spotlight Bands perform. Bishop Briggs made a stop in San Francisco last week to perform a date from her first headlining tour at the legendary Fillmore. They performed last year at the iconic venue, opening for Kaleo and blew us away. They did it again, as this time they were there for their headlining show, and they truly gave 150% out on that stage! We had the chance to catch up with Bishop Briggs shortly before her set. You can check out our interview here: The night kicked off with an eclectic indie pop electronic set by Manatee Commune. Followed by SHAED, a vibrant pop band highlighted with powerful vocals. From the moment Bishop hit the stage, the crowd went wild with enthusiasm. It was pure bliss as the music washed away all our worries and concerns. Instead, filling us with energy, euphoria and serenity. As we talked with Bishop, her music is an elixir [Read More]
