The Fillmore adds another history making performance as The Struts perform stellar sold out show!

November 4, 2016

The Fillmore in San Francisco has such amazing history as countless legendary bands have graced the stages. The atmosphere in the venue holds the mojo and vibe of some of the world’s best bands. The Poster Room upstairs houses just a sample of the shows that were held there. This past week, it was history in the making as the fast rising “legends-in-the-making band, The Struts delivered their stellar set to a sold out venue! It is no surprise to us, to witness how huge this band has grown to be. It was over two years ago that we watched videos of them and hoped one day they would come to the U.S. We knew this band had exactly what Rock n Roll needed to keep it alive and thriving. They held the paddles of life to rock and shocked it back to life, and all the while doing it with such fashion and flare. The sold out crowd was held captive by Luke’s charismatic performance and stage presence. They were held under his [Read More]

Bleeker brings their high energy set to the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco

November 4, 2016

Alternative rockers Bleeker delivered their high energy set to the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. The venue has a rich history of musicians and atmosphere is filled with the mojo and vibes of a rock n roll history that goes way to the sixties.  Bleeker returned for a short tour with The Struts and they kicked the night off with a kick ass set. It has only been weeks since the release of their album, Erase You on Five Seven Music, but there were many of the fans in the crowd already singing the words to their new songs. For many of the others who were unfamiliar with Bleeker, they soon were wowed by their psych-tinged groovin rock and were undoubtedly christened as new fans. Check out some photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan here: They always deliver a high energy set that blends the edge of alternative, fun-spirit of pop, and kick ass rock n roll. Bishop Briggs delivered a mesmerizing performance at legendary Fillmore in San Francisco!

October 30, 2016

cap·ti·vate (kăp′tə-vāt′) verb cap·ti·vat·ing 1. to attract and hold the attention or interest of, as by beauty or excellence; enchant: Bishop Briggs performance was captivating to the crowd from start to finish.  Thursday night at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco was an amazing one. We were in attendance to catch Bishop Briggs as they are out on tour with The Wind and the Wave and Kaleo. We first caught Bishop Briggs earlier this year at LIVE 105’s BFD Festival. We had been familiar with the hit song, River which we absolutely loved.  Once you see them perform live, your love for them expands beyond that hit. The Wind and The Wave started the night off and their set was a great introduction for us. We look forward to checking them out once again. The venue continued to grow to capacity as Bishop Briggs took the stage. From the moment they hit the stage, they had me captivated. Their set was engaging from start to finish and you were absolutely mesmerized by Bishop’s vocals. She carries such [Read More]

Interview with Eddie Veliz of Kyng as we discuss their new album, Breathe In The Water

October 30, 2016

Kyng returned to the Regency Ballroom this past Sunday night as they kicked off a night of high energy rock/metal in San Francisco. They are currently out on tour with Clutch and Zakk Sabbath and we were excited to catch them once again. This powerful trio delivers a powerful dose of energy when they hit the stage. You have Eddie Veliz on Vocals/Guitar, Pepe Clarke on Drums and Tony Castaneda on Bass/Backing Vocals. From start to finish, they are at 11 the entire time and they crank up the intensity with fierce riffs, thundering drums and melodic yet heavy vocals. Their energy is inescapable as they bring the truth and honesty back into rock, simple yet completely powerful. Check out some photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan: They have recently released their new album, Breathe In The Water, which I think is their best work to date.  So full of raw, honest, powerful hard and heavy rock and metal. It can’t be described as one genre, since they successfully bring out a variety of musical [Read More]
