Joe Perry returns to the stage as The Hollywood Vampires ROCK Rohnert Park with a sensational set!

July 23, 2016

We are excited to share with you the wonderful news that guitarist extraordinaire Joe Perry returned to the stage last night with the Hollywood Vampires. The venue Weill Hall Green Music Center in Rohnert Park in Rohnert Park was packed as everyone awaited the arrival of the Hollywood Vampires.  It is a beautiful venue on the grounds of Sonoma State University that not only houses an indoor venue but the show is enjoyed by thousands who are enjoying the concert at tables on one of the grassy terraces, or on their own blankets or folding chairs on the lawn. The show kicked off with a short entertaining video introduction that highlights the musicians that they are playing tribute to and the crowd went wild as they went right into performing their song, Raise the Dead. The strong set included excellent covers from so many bands, The Who, David Bowie, the Doors, Spirit, T Rex, Aerosmith and many more.  They were incredible since the Hollywood Vampires truly take the song and really just infuse it with even more [Read More]

Last night at the beautiful Masonic in San Francisco, the packed venue was treated to a must see performance by Steven Tyler. Steven recently kicked off his Out On A Limb tour and it has been quite a success. Steven truly captured the crowd with his spellbinding set that included songs from his new solo album, which was released today! As well as several fantastic Aerosmith tracks, and fans were also treated to a couple covers including The Beatles and a spine-tingling cover of Piece of My Heart from Janis Joplin. The Loving Mary Band were incredible and the night was a success. Fearless Vampire Killers announce split due to Kier Kemp leaving the band

July 5, 2016

UK based band Fearless Vampire Killers just announced that they’re splitting up, due to the bands co-singer/guitarist Kier Kemp leaving the band. Here’s the full statement taken from their facebook page   A difficult announcement. Last Friday, Kier announced that he was leaving FVK. This revelation was greeted with shock, disappointment, and heartbreak as we have given our lives to this band and the idea of giving up was completely alien to us. However, over the weekend we have struggled to find the answer to this unfortunate situation, and we have come to the conclusion that it would be wrong to continue this band without Kier by our side. Please note that this decision was not an easy one for Kier to make, but the alternative would be him continuing something that he no longer passionately connects with – which is not good for him, you or us. He apologises for any upset this may cause and is available in all the usual places if anyone has any questions or would like to talk [Read More]

July 2, 2016

What better way to get yourself through the work week, than with a night of  high energy soul music by Allen Stone and the Monophonics. The concert was held at the SOMO Village in Rohnert Park for the SOMO Concert Series. This year Sonoma Cider, the award-winning hard cider producer, is partnering with Second Octave for delivering incredible concerts right here in Northern California at the North Bay’s “greenest” and most unique live entertainment venue. The night kicked off with a rousing set of psychedelic soul by the Bay Area’s favorites, Monophonics. They always deliver a set that invites the crowd to get up and dance. Allen Stone came out and delivered an amazing set of R&B and soul. The energy and soul filled with the crowd as everyone moved to the music and created a wave of uplifting spirits. Allen was incredible and you just can’t help but fall captive to his intensely rich vocals and smooth guitar work.  He is definitely a must see! Concert Review: Atreyu with Tenside at Munich. Contributed by Alex Bock

June 27, 2016

Strom, Munich, June 22, 2016   Since June 7th Atreyu is on a European summer tour on which they’re attending festivals as well as playing clubs, like they did on June 22nd in Munich. The Strom was already pretty packed when Tenside, a local band from Munich, came on stage to warm up the crowd that night, which they did pretty well. Atreyu got the crowd going from the first song on. They kept a very close contact to the audience, esp. Alex Varkatzas, their singer. He more than once got down from stage to join the people. That night a family with three kids was there. A rare sight in Germany, since younger kids usually don’t attend shows here. The band took the kids with them on stage for a few songs. Something they’ll probably never forget. The song list for the night included ‘Doomsday’, ‘Long Live’, ‘When Two Are One’, ‘Bleeding Mascara’, ‘Do You Know Who You Are?’ and also a cover of Bon Jovi’s ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’.
