Interview with the multi-talented Dani Neff of Megafauna

September 18, 2014

Austin has been keeping quite a secret and it is time everyone gets to know about it. I am talking about the incredible prog-rock/alternative band Megafauna. I am not going to try and place them into a music genre category because their fresh new bold style of music fuses a variety of musical influences and have successfully created their own unique sound. You can pick up great tones of progressive rock, alternative grunge style, power pop and garage rock. They most recently released their album, Maximalist which is quite deserving of your attention. In addition they toured this past summer in support of their album and will continue to set out on another tour shortly. We had the opportunity to talk with Megafauna singer/guitarist, Dani Neff and she is such a wonderfully talented artist. We are pleased to bring you the interview here: * * * * * * Music Junkie Press: Thank you very much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. “I’m saying hello to a new dream I’m taking it back what’s left of me Don’t even try You can’t stop me now! I gotta feeling where I used to be numb. I can feel it now rushing through my blood. Interview with Laura Petracca of Hunter Valentine and catch her out on the Ladykillers Tour!

September 17, 2014

Like many others, I was first introduced to the music of Hunter Valentine through Linda Perry Project, Make Or Break on Vh1. From the first episode, I was enamored with their style and music. It was wonderful to watch them grown throughout the show and to hear their new song, Burn With It. Don’t mistake them for a new band, they have been pounding the pavement for 10 years and have a very dedicated fanbase. Once you take a listen, you will immediately fall in love with their music. I wish I had only heard of them sooner. This is one hard working band and when you see them perform, they bring out such a raw electric energy that will heighten all your senses Hunter Valentine are setting out on their LadyKiller Tour and we had the chance to do a Q &A with drummer Laura Petracca. Spiralarms release new video for Exit 63 and catch them at the SoFa Street Fair

September 11, 2014

One of our favorite bands, Spiralarms have released the third video from their well received 2013 album Freedom. This time the video takes you back in time as guitarist, Tim Narducci explains, “Here is our third video from the Freedom album, “Exit 63″. It takes a step back in time and taps into moments of history that ended the free love movement. It’s a heavy visual reminder that history usually repeats its self and parades the dark side of humanity. A very heavy ride!” Check out the video here: Spiralarms have been one of our favorite bands ever since seeing them last year at Regency Ballroom with Steel Panther. They are not only fantastic musicians but also a great group of guys that deliver solid sets whenever they perform. They have a very dedicated fanbase and is far reaching worldwide. Some might think of them as a Bay Area band but these guys are world traveled and have been rocking stages all over and have an amazing draw every time. We most recently caught them when they performed [Read More]
