Love Crushed Velvet release new video for Spotlight

June 20, 2014

Love Crushed Velvet from New York City have released their new video for their song, “Spotlight”. The track was originally released on Love Crushed Velvet’s compelling new EP Delusions in September, mixed by Mark Needham (Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, The Killers). Love Crushed Velvet brings to life their melodic rock track with captivating vocals.   Check out the video here:   We had the opportunity to talk with Love Crushed Velvet and are pleased to repost that interview here: * * * * * *  Music Junkie Press: Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press.  First, we have to tell you that we are loving the video for Bye, Bye Baby. That song is really one of my favorites off Delusions, can you tell me a little bit more about that song? Love Crused Velvet: “Bye Bye, Baby” is about how challenging it can be to process the end of a relationship because things sometimes spiral downwards so quickly.  Much of one’s perception about the other person is formed during the “honeymoon” period when everything is going swimmingly. Tommy Girvin continues to inspire children musically with his new project

June 18, 2014

Just last we told you about the amazing set that Eddie Money performed at the Thunder Valley Resort for their summer concert series. You can read that earlier post here: Thunder Valley Resort. When we were there, we had the opportunity to talk with guitarist/multi instrumentalist, Tommy Girvin. Last year, we told you about the great work Tommy was doing in keeping music education alive with children. You can read more from that post here: Tommy Girvin Interview. Prior to the Eddie Money set in the 100 + deg temps at Thunder Valley, we were able to chat more with Tommy Girvin and get an update from him about his children’s music program.  It was exciting to hear about Mr. Tommy’s Mobile Music Bus and all the fun things he is working on. We are pleased to bring you that interview here:   It is wonderful to see how Tommy is inspiring young children to fall in love with music and I am sure we will be seeing many of his students one day on the big stage. Check out our interview with indie pop rockers, Crocodile

June 18, 2014

I wanted to let you know about a great little EP that will be released this week. The band is Crocodile from Austin, Texas and they are bringing a fresh new take on the classic sound of The Beatles yet not dated as such. They are indie pop rock swaddled in a 60’s vibe that bring the right balance between melody and fuzz that is inviting and quite addictive.  Their new EP Crocodile Vs. The Mutant Alligators From Space will have you thinking you are listening to a lost reel from The Beatles. They have successfully capture the innocence of music and wrapped it in a style that will have you captive from first listen.  Gianni talks about the EP recording process, “[It] is very personal for me. A lot of trial and error, I very rarely know exactly where a song is going. I like to look at it as the songs shaping themselves and me being just a medium.” As for the future? “I’ve been recording a lot of songs on my own that I’m compiling [Read More]

The song Forever Slowly has a ballad style feel but is a ballad done The Relapse Symphony way, with passionate vocals, more rockin tempo and lyrics that feed your soul and touch your heart.
