We As Human interview and highlights from Aftershock Festival

September 18, 2013

This past weekend was one of the largest (if not, the largest!) festival in California; Monster Energy Aftershock Festival held in Sacramento over the weekend.  Saturday morning, We As Human  from Nashville, TN were the first band to play the main stage and they truly set the perfect tone for the weekend. HIGH ENERGY, IN YOUR FACE, BALLS TO THE WALL, ROCK N ROLL! Sometimes festivals start off with a band that puts out a mediocre performance and then builds them throughout the day. Well this time, that was not the case. We As Human came out and just got the crowd energized and ready to Rock. Fans with their fists in the air, came running up to the main stage as they walked through the gates, completely drawn in by their music. Who are the guys behind We As Human? Well, you have Justin Cordle on Vocals, Adam Osborne on Drums, Jake Jones and Justin Forshaw on Guitars and Dave Draggoo on Bass. Combined, you have a band that not only delivers intense music but creates a bond with [Read More]

We had people asking us about them and telling us to get more info on the band. We have already been in love with them since the first moment of listening to them not long ago.  It was impressive to watch how others were [Read More]

New Politics set to join PINK on tour!!

September 16, 2013

Just announced….. Our friends in one of our favorite bands, New Politics which we had the the opportunity to catch and interview on the Uproar tour last week, have just announced they will be joining PINK on her arena tour in October. What a great opportunity for our friends in New Politics to show the world just how incredible they are live in concert. To imagine seeing them perform in an arena atmosphere just gets my heart pumping.  New Politics just played the Zippo stage on the Uproar Tour and made a stop at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View on September 11th and they truly stole the show! If people arrived not knowing who New Politics were, they definitely left knowing them and also became new fans! We caught them earlier before their set and are pleased to bring you this interview:   We first met New Politics over 3 years ago when they played in San Francisco and you can check out that write up here to get our initial perspective on their [Read More]

Aftershock Festival Spotlight on Nothing More

September 10, 2013

Our Aftershock Spotlight is on an incredible band, Nothing More. Nothing More is from San Antonio, Texas and New Orleans, LA. This bad ass band definitely has everyone taking a good look at them. They are bringing a new life to alternative rock/progressive that actually has them challenging genres and sounds. Their unique sound has many turning heads and people wanting to know more about Nothing More. We had the opportunity to talk with Jonny Hawkins – lead vocalist and Daniel Oliver – bassist for the band. I will tell you that they both also perform secondary percussions for the band at times during their shows. You  may wonder what I mean but if you ever had the incredible opportunity to watch Nothing More you would know exactly what I was talking about. They put on a four guy percussion performance on their incredible solos that will leave you in awe!  It is a show within a show that can rival any Vegas act with their Rock n Roll Cirque du Solei on drums.  Check [Read More]
