Bishop Briggs fuels Sacramento with her high energy set at Ace of Spades

Last night in Sacramento, the place to be was at the Ace of Spades for the sold out Bishop Briggs show. Fans lined up hours earlier and were sharing their Bishop Briggs tales of past concerts, favorite songs and fan memories.  It was great to see that the crowd had no specific demographic, as Bishop’s music is a fave for all.  There were parents who brought their young 5 – 10 year old girls who couldn’t wait to see the show. The crowd was filled with fans from ages 5 to 75, and all were in for a killer night.

The evening kicked off with an amazing set by Matt Maeson who wooed the crowd with his infectious songs that brought the crowd to their feet. You can also catch Matt at the end of the month at BottleRock Napa Festival.

The venue was filled to capacity and the crowd was ready for Bishop to hit the stage. As the lights dimmed once again, the crowd erupted into screams and cheer to greet Bishop to the stage. Bisho started the set right off with 150% energy and her new hit song, White Flag. It was non-stop adrenaline from that moment forward. As she raced across the stage jumping and bouncing, the crowd intensified with their energy. Once again, Bishop Briggs blew us away with her set as she captivated every member of the audience with her commanding presence.

Bishop Briggs recently released her debut album, Church of Scars on April 20. It has continued to climb the charts and garner high praise. If you get the chance to catch Bishop Briggs, GO! You will be thanking me in the morning.

I remember commenting to Bishop about how her music could shut the pharmaceutical business of their anti-depressants, with her music being an instant “mood elevator”! It couldn’t ring more true, than how her music has helped us stay positive through losing our home and business in the Santa Rosa October fire. Her soulful songs, complete with infectious beats, fierce passion and high energy delivered a cathartic cleansing each time we would listen. It was magical and had us craving more and more.  In case you need more Bishop Briggs fix, check out our interview with her from last year.
