Kublai Khan is about to finish up their headlining U.S. tour, and they left an explosive, high-energy mark at the San Jose Civic last night. The place was shaking from the first note to the final roar of the crowd.
Guilt Trip from Manchester kicked things off, coming out with all the intensity and force the crowd needed to start the night off heavy. They lit the fuse for what was about to become a wild ride.
Shortly after, Gideon took the stage, and within minutes the crowd turned into a sea of crowd surfers. Everywhere you looked, people were flying over the barricade. It was amazing.
Then came one of the highlights of the night… Drain. Our West Coast locals straight out of Santa Cruz brought a stadium-worthy performance to the Civic. Their set was adrenaline-fueled, fun, captivating, and pure chaos in the best way possible. Their sign says it perfectly: “Drain is not responsible for what you do in the next 30 minutes.” So true, because anything you’ve been holding inside gets released onto that floor. The energy is reciprocal. As the crowd intensified, the band cranked it right back, feeding the chaos level by level.
The night wrapped up with Kublai Khan, and they delivered just as incredible of a set as the last time we saw them, if not even more so. Their engaging presence draws you in and keeps you fully fueled, head-banging through every song as you race around the nonstop circle pit. They have a grip on the crowd that doesn’t let up for a second.
Another unforgettable night of heavy hitters bringing their absolute best to San Jose. Stay tuned as we will be bringing you a photo gallery of the night!
