Last month, SUM 41 captured everyone’s attention with the release of their new album, 13 Voices. The album has garnered high praise as they continue to crank out kick ass music, successfully blending punk, rock, pop, all wrapped in a vibrant fun energy.  There is no stopping their longtime success as the new album brings a whole new generation of fans, all the while satisfying long time fans.

They currently made a stop in San Francisco for their “Don’t Call It A Sum-Back Tour” and they took over The Regency Ballroom. The tour includes support by Senses Fail and As It Is.  Sum 41 hit the stage to a sold out venue and the nostalgia filled the room as long time fans and many new ones, sang every word to the songs. The energy continued with some wild mosh pits, dedicated fans crowd surfing and so much more. Check out the photos from their set:

If you haven’t already, pick up their new album by heading over to: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/13-voices/id1119678192?app=itunes. Check out a video of one of my favorite songs off the album, War.  The song has special meaning to Deryck because of its importance to his personal life,

“I feel that this song literally saved my life. I was at my absolute lowest point of what seemed like a never-ending recovery. When I was at a tipping point of falling back into drinking or staying the course of recovery, I grabbed a pencil and paper instead of a bottle and started writing. Whenever I had any thoughts of giving up, I would read these lyrics to myself over and over again. They helped remind me of what it was that I was fighting for, and that I needed to keep fighting harder. Giving up was not an option.”
