The Voidz delivered epic sets on 4 SOLD OUT San Francisco shows!

The Voidz are back! Just last month they released their new song, Prophecy of the Dragon and it is just in time to remain a staple on your summer soundtrack. The band comments about the song,

The track started with a very simple question…. what would it feel like if God whispered into your ear “you are my most magnificent creature.” What would that feeling sound like? What would its bassline be? With that Beardo blew The Voidz conch shell and we assembled where we had been summoned for previous quests. The response? From the fiery bones of eternity, the dragon’s voice, awakened after millennia in waiting, spewed forth a sonic fist of impertinence in the shape of a new pirate anthem where nothing is what it seems, nor is it otherwise – Prophecy Of The Dragon.”

Thursday night we were able to catch The Voidz during their 4 night SOLD OUT residency at the Great American Music Hall.  It was absolutely EPIC! The night kicked off with openers The Paranoyds and Automatic. The crowd was anticipating the arrival of The Voidz and when they hit the stage, an eruption of cheer reverbed throughout the historic venue as they began the set with Permanent High School.

The audience which was filled with young and old fans, wearing The Strokes and The Voidz shirts, all joining together for their love of The Voidz. We met several fans who traveled specifically for these shows. One from Boston and another from Chile living in Vancouver. He had said as soon as he found out about the show, he bought a ticket and flew on down, definitely not missing it.

The magic continued with the following set:

  • All Wordz Are Made Up
  • Pyramid of Bones
  • M.utually A.ssured D.estruction
  • The Eternal Tao 2.0
  • Prophecy of the Dragon
  • Take Down The House
  • (with Promiseland)
  • Leave It in My Dreams
  • Business Dog
  • Did My Best
  • Where No Eagles Fly

Encore:

There were quite a few people who were there for each show and were excited to see how the setlists varied from each night. The lighting was a challenge for photographing but it really provided the perfect atmosphere for the show. Check out photos from the set by our Rockin Ryan:

Make sure to visit the social media sites and stay up to date on the latest news.  As soon as you see a show coming to your area, jump on it because you don’t want to miss it. Also when you go to the show, immediately make your way to the MERCH table, they will sell out. We were lucky enough to pick up some awesome shirts.

Now I am having Julian Casablancas withdrawals, I think we will have to fly out to The Strokes show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado on August 14th.
