Willow Avalon impresses as opener for Cage the Elephant

 

Last night Cage the Elephant had a stop at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco for the Neon Pill Tour. Opening the show was country artist Willow Avalon followed by Bakar.  Willow Avalon’s performance was nothing short of refreshing. Cage The Elephant’s choice to bring a variety of openers, including Avalon with her country roots and Bakar with his experimental indie rock/rap, showcased their commitment to offering a diverse musical experience for their fans.

Willow Avalon’s set was a delightful blend of nostalgic old school country with a contemporary flare on classic country. Her captivating and fun stage presence immediately drew the packed venue’s attention.  Starting her set off with her popular track, Stranger, she quickly established a connection with the audience. By the time she reached her final song, Homewrecker, the crowd was fully engaged and singing along.

One of the standout moments of her set was her performance of Gettin’ Rich, Goin’ Broke which emerged as a crowd favorite. Her ability to merge classic country influences with a modern twist made her set not only enjoyable but also memorable.
