Today, music has demonstrated its wondrous power to me. Allow me to explain,
We have struggled for over two years trying to recover from the enormous loss of our business and home in the Santa Rosa 2017 firestorm. I have been stuck for a while in a very dark place. This week I began to slowly come out of the darkness and this morning was, what I call a breakthrough sunrise of light. What or whom do I owe the honor. Music. Music the moving force that heals, helps, inspires and changes. Today, it was the new single and video from AO for the new track, Fall on Me featuring Mondo Cozmo.
First, it is a stunning song with soul touching lyrics that just reach out and take all your worries and fears away. You can’t help but feel the warmth of the song wrap around you like a comforting hug. Second, is the amazing video which features “feel’good emotional moments that have you thinking back on your own good times. Just knowing that there will be more good moments ahead. Please take a moment to watch the new video here:
AO was born out of the late night sessions of multi-talented musician/songwriter Aria Pullman-Ostrander. AO, which signifies both the beginning and the end, is her muse that allows her to stretch boundaries and slash genres. Being compared to artists like Stevie Nicks, Lana Del Rey and The Naked & Famous, Aria glides perfectly between a sweet nostalgia and a sound pallet that make you want to live your life out loud.
“Fall On Me” was written within the magical desert landscape of Joshua Tree while Mondo Cozmo was finishing his latest record, Plastic Soul. “We wrote it in one night, and the lyrics came even faster,” explains AO on the song. “It’s funny how that happens sometimes. Beautiful symmetry and the stars align. We tried to give it a very vintage feel by recording it live. It very much reminds me of the Nicks / Henley tune ‘Leather and Lace’ which makes me super proud because I am a HUGE Stevie fan.”
