Orange Amps Ambassador, Tom Petersson Inducted into Hall of Fame

Orange Amps Ambassador Tom Petersson, being the founding member of Cheap Trick  will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with other members of the band. The ceremony is set to take place on Friday, April 8th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Tom who was not only the founding bassist of the band, but also the co-creator of the twelve string bass, which started with an idea back in 1973 when friends had started their own guitar company. You can read an excellent interview with Tom on the Orange Amps blog.  where he discusses how he first came aware of Orange Amps after a trip to London with Rick Nielsen in 1968. It was at the original retail shop them met the found, Cliff Cooper as he had just begun making his own amplifiers.

Today Tom uses an Orange AD50 Custom Shop guitar head running into a PPC4x12 cabinet and an AD200 MK3 head running into an OBC8x10 bass cabinet. Talking about the amps he said  I love Orange gear … I play it loud!
