Tidus Is Alive is the pop punk solo project of Italian musician, Denny Ranno. They have released a new EP, Stuck in Limbo earlier this year and is definitely a must have. The music brings a fresh new blend of an easycore with pop punk featuring infectious tracks that will soon become the playlist of your summer.

The EP starts right off with the catchy track Step Aside and then in Checkmate you get a heavier intro and here is where you will fall in love with the easycore vibe. It is the perfect balance of hardcore and pop punk. One minute you will be feeling a head bang come along and the next you transcend into dancing.

In regards to the EP, Denny comments,

The concept about this EP is the conflict between good and bad vibes. You can see that by looking at the cover. It’s something like a good and bad side. Some songs are more on the pop punk line, others are on the hardcore side. Sometimes, there’s a perfect balance but sometimes, there’s not. There’s a girl who is the antagonist of the whole EP. She’s also the muse who has inspired all the music. There’s a quote from track 6 “Robin: “Cause you’re the muse that now inspires all the music that I write”. The last track is an ode to her but the other tracks are sometimes “against her” and sometimes are more “neutral” but she’s the interlocutor most of the times

Product of My Will is a great heavier track and will be the perfect song to fuel you with a push of adrenaline. It is definitely one of my favorite tracks but then again Dead and Reborn is my fave. Every time I listen, another song will stand out and become a contender for fave song. I love when an EP is full of stand out tracks.

I can only imagine the intensity that Pill of Hate will bring to a live performance. It has an aggressive punch with attitude that will infect a crowd and raise the energy of any room. The guitars in the entire EP grab your attention and you can feel the beats pulsing through your veins.

The EP wraps up with Robin that spotlights the pop punk element and is an infectiously catchy track with emotionally driven lyrics. Robin is definitely a stand out track.  It will leave you wanting more of Tidus Is Alive.

Make sure to pick up the new EP on  iTunes  and tell your friends about it. Stuck in Limbo was recorded at La Casetta Studio, then mixed and mastered  by Kristian Maimone and Giovanni Santoro who own the studio.
