Tove Lo is officially back with a new era. The Swedish pop icon has just announced her sixth studio album ESTRUS and it will be released on September 18th via Pretty Swede Records/Virgin Group. In addition is the release of the new single, “I’m Your Girl Right?” as well as the new music video directed by Nogari. Check out the video here:
From everything revealed so far, ESTRUS sounds like it’s diving even deeper into the raw honesty and emotional chaos that’s always made Tove Lo stand out. Inspired by artists like The Knife and Robyn, the album blends electro-pop energy with themes of desire, vulnerability, identity, and emotional conflict.

“The first song and video from my new album ESTRUS are out. I know you’ve been waiting a long time and I hope it’s worth the wait. It was for me! Can’t wait to share the rest of this album with you. We shot this video in Brazil and I think it turned out so stunning. The best crew ever. Thank you with all my heart to Nogari and your whole team, our minds blend so beautifully twisted together.”
The record was created between Los Angeles, Stockholm, and the small Swedish fishing village where she spent summers growing up, which apparently brought back memories tied to heartbreak, family struggles, mental health, and growing pains. That emotional backdrop already makes this feel like one of her most personal projects yet.

She also announced the ESTRUS Tour, kicking off in September with North American release shows before heading into her biggest UK and European run so far. Support will come from Mallrat, Cobrah for the NYC date, and Rose Gray across the UK/EU leg.
