Billy Idol announces title of new album set for an October 2014 release!

March 28, 2014

We have been hearing a lot of news about Billy Idol and his plans for a new album. He recently released that the title of the album is ‘Return To Splendor’ and is set for an October release. The album will be released on the BFI label.  We are very excited for the new album. Billy tweeted earlier this month that he was finishing vocals on a couple of the tracks and it is nearing completion. Here is the latest tweet with the album title:   Billy has a couple US dates and then they are off to tour in Europe. Dates for Europe are listed below.  We look forward to October and to Billy adding US Tour Dates after they return from overseas! Seeing Billy Idol perform two back to back shows in San Francisco in 2010 was the highlight of my concert coverages and it has been way toooooo long! I need my Billy fix! Tour Dates: EUROPEAN SUMMER TOUR 2014: 31 May, 2014 – The House Of Blues, Atlantic City, NJ. CLICK HERE [Read More]

Enjoy a Funky Rock and Blues Fusion with AmAEvolutioN!

September 30, 2012

The great thing about Music is that there are so many different genres out there to enjoy at any time. I love not being pegged into a music genre hole and just listening to one thing. I listen to all types of music and enjoy each one of them. So today I want to introduce you to enjoy a  Funky Rock and Blues fusion cocktail that is AmAEvolutioN.  They have such an incredible sound that just blends so many types of music and just comes together beautifully.  You will hear some Rock, R & B, Soul, Funk and Blues all meshed together that just has me captivated! Being a native from the Bay Area, I applaud Berkeley native Nadiya Lewis on her commanding presence on her vocals. She just sings right to your soul and you can just feel her emotions!  Then you can really enjoy the guitarist Sergio de Paula Lima as he lays down some great guitar work complimenting the cool bass lines of Musashi “Moose” Lethridge  and topping it off with the smooth [Read More]

The Unlikely Candidates delivered charismatic and powerful set at BottleRock 2023

June 8, 2023

It was 2013 the first time I saw The Unlikely Candidates perform. They were opening up for Blue October at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco out on the SWAY Tour.  They had immediately captured our attention with their fierce headlining worthy performance! Fast forward 10 years and The Unlikely Candidates have us even more in awe of their live performance.  They played on the Truly stage at BottleRock but their set was main stage worthy.  Their sound is a blend of genres; rock, alternative, grunge, southern rock,  without falling into a checkbox.  The only thing that they can check off is POWERFUL NON STOP ROCK! When they perform your eyes are darting across the stage as each member gives 150% as they play. Their set was one of our favorites throughout the weekend and we already can’t wait to see them again. Check out photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan:   Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news. Information & Links: Facebook: [Read More]

Top Live Performance of 2018 goes to Greta Van Fleet

January 1, 2019

As we enter the new year, it is time to look back at all the amazing musicians we saw in 2018.  From intimate performances to arena concerts, to festivals and more, great live music was everywhere. Check out our list of the Top Live Performances of 2018 for Music Junkie Press! Topping our list is none other than Greta Van Fleet, who are like a pair of shock paddles resuscitating the life of Rock n Roll. We were fortunate to catch four of their California shows in 2018. Within the last decade,  we have seen many bands deliver some good blips on the heartline of the rock and roll, but none as huge as the spike that Greta Van Fleet is making.  They are bringing a full on resuscitation to ROCK ‘N ROLL so get ready, hang on and enjoy the ride. The first show we saw this year was at the John Anson Ford Amphitheater: “The crowd grew to capacity as Greta Van Fleet were to take the stage. The excitement raced through the crowd as the lights dimmed [Read More]

KITTEN release stunning emotional video for their infectious track, Strange Embrace

July 28, 2018

One of our favorite new bands, Kitten has just released a stunning new video for their track, Strange Embrace. The video was directed by Abigail Tulis and produced by Shruti Ganguly & Aurora Alänge. The video not only features mesmerizing dancers Yiannis Logothetis, Brooke Jones, Sarah Elaz, Kara Menendez, and Danielle Zins but the captivating and talented Chloe of Kitten. Check out the video here: You can pick up their EP Pink Champagne by heading over here: https://red.lnk.to/PinkChampagne. We have truly been smitten with Kitten since catching them open for Blue October show at August Hall. The show was absolutely amazing. They were incredible and have left a lasting impression on us.  They are an indie rock band from Los Angeles that brings to life a style of free fun loving alternative rock that was straight from the ’90s but with a fresh paint of energy and style. They reminded me of my all-time favorite band of the 80s’ & 90’s The Divinyls. They have an infectious charismatic energy that radiates from each one. Their stage presence was captivating [Read More]
