The Wells Fargo Event Center last Saturday night was definitely ROCKIN! Shinedown made a stop on their tour here in Santa Rosa and blew the roof off the Wells Fargo center. It was a full fledged rock show which doesn’t happen that often here in Santa Rosa, especially of the Shinedown caliber. The Virginmarys opened the night with their infectious punk edged rock set. The venue was packed to near capacity and Shinedown delivered an amazing set. It was great to see how this band that we fell in love with nearly a decade ago brought back “the feels” once again when they performed. They gave us a set filled with fan favorites, some oldies, and several new songs from their latest album, Threat to Survival and even a couple fun filled verses of Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time. The crowd was on their feet from nearly start to finish in the seated venue. The energy was rampant and you could feel the spirit and good energy flowing through the room.
It was nice to see a venue with very few cell phones in the air and people once again enjoying a concert they way it was intended to be. Everyone was having an amazing night and Shinedown brought the full on rock show back to life in Santa Rosa. Check out some photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan:
