Being As An Ocean signs to Equal Vision Records and premieres new song/video

February 25, 2016

Excited to announce that Being As An Ocean have signed to Equal Vision Records. Vocalist Joel Quartuccio comments on the announcement,  “We are ecstatic to finally get the opportunity to work with the family at Equal Vision Records. Our relationship has been a long time in the making, and it is like a dream come true to be able to call ourselves part of the team. Ever since we met Dan Sandshaw, EVR’s president, we knew that the label’s ethos and passion for the music was akin to our own and that we didn’t want to settle for anything less. We are eternally grateful to EVR for sticking it out through the years with us to see this beautiful partnership to fruition.” They have also released a new song and video for Dissolve. Check it out here: Being As An Ocean will kick off a North American tour tonight in Quebec, where they will serve as direct support to Silverstein. Concert Review by Alex Bock of The Winery Dogs / Inglorious in Munich

February 18, 2016

Munich, Feb. 15th, 2016, Backstage So Munich was in for a special treat last Monday. The Winery Dogs made a stop in Munich on their, so far pretty successful, world tour. The venue was packed and sold out, even a barrier was installed, which isn’t the ordinary for that venue. Not that it would’ve been needed to hold back the audience, because they behaved quite well. But it was a plus for the photographers (which includes myself). Opener on this tour was Inglorious. They are a hard rock band from the UK. Influences include the classic rock bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow and Aerosmith. Definitely a band you should look into when you’re a fan of the ‘classic’ hard rock genre. Even though the audience didn’t really move that much (that’s honestly no bands fault, that’s a town specific thing), it was fun to watch them play. You could occasionally see people moving their heads slightly, tapping their feet and sometimes cheering.  However, the band played a solid set. So for all [Read More]

DREAMERS Concert Review by Valeria Rosa

January 31, 2016

Experiencing a DREAMERS show was like embarking on a journey to a world of colorfully passionate music. DREAMERS is a band comprised of comprised of Nick Wold, Jacob Wick, and Marc Nelson. Right from the start I could tell this band really had a way of connecting to the audience with the music they played. DREAMERS goes out on stage to have the time of their lives playing music for the fans in the audience, which resulted in an overall outstanding performance by DREAMERS. Towards the end of the night DREAMERS even took time to meet fans. DREAMERS is a very humble and genuine band deserving of every bit of recognition they can get. Having never heard a DREAMERS song before the show, I was instantly hooked right after. All the songs played that night were original and catchy in everyway. The songs the DREAMERS played really had a way of getting you hooked. On that note, these Brooklyn Indie Rockers recently premiered their new single “Drugs” off of their upcoming EP You Are Here.Despite [Read More]

Halo Circus embraces the future of American rock with Say It Loud at the Troubadour

December 17, 2015

Patrick O’Heffernan (Hollywood) Allison Iraheta and Matthew Hager wanted to “say it loud” Monday night at the Troubadour and they did…they let LA and the country know that Halo Circus had fully emerged as a headlining leader in the explosive world of bilingual, disruptive, mission-driven rock music. The Say It Loud event produced by Halo Circus’ bassist Hager and co-sponsored by LA’s Gypset Magazine pulled together American Latin Music guitarist David Garza, Fishbone’s Angelo Moore and his new underground funk punk ghetto quartet N-fidelikah,  Heliotrope,  legendary producer KC Porter and his Cruzanderos, flamenco guitarist Victory Mori and, of course, the incomparable Halo Circus. It all worked; not only was it loud, it was transformative.   From first notes struck by Tokyo-born Mori to the last twang of third generation Mexican-American David Garza’s electric guitar, Say It Loud changed the way we think about music – and entertained the hell out of us.   Following the example of bands like Las Cafeteras, Halo Circus bassist and the evening’s organizer Matthew Hagen designed a democratic mashup of [Read More]
