Joe Perry returns to the stage as The Hollywood Vampires ROCK Rohnert Park with a sensational set!

July 23, 2016

We are excited to share with you the wonderful news that guitarist extraordinaire Joe Perry returned to the stage last night with the Hollywood Vampires. The venue Weill Hall Green Music Center in Rohnert Park in Rohnert Park was packed as everyone awaited the arrival of the Hollywood Vampires.  It is a beautiful venue on the grounds of Sonoma State University that not only houses an indoor venue but the show is enjoyed by thousands who are enjoying the concert at tables on one of the grassy terraces, or on their own blankets or folding chairs on the lawn. The show kicked off with a short entertaining video introduction that highlights the musicians that they are playing tribute to and the crowd went wild as they went right into performing their song, Raise the Dead. The strong set included excellent covers from so many bands, The Who, David Bowie, the Doors, Spirit, T Rex, Aerosmith and many more.  They were incredible since the Hollywood Vampires truly take the song and really just infuse it with even more [Read More]

Last night at the beautiful Masonic in San Francisco, the packed venue was treated to a must see performance by Steven Tyler. Concert Review: Atreyu with Tenside at Munich. Contributed by Alex Bock

June 27, 2016

Strom, Munich, June 22, 2016   Since June 7th Atreyu is on a European summer tour on which they’re attending festivals as well as playing clubs, like they did on June 22nd in Munich. The Strom was already pretty packed when Tenside, a local band from Munich, came on stage to warm up the crowd that night, which they did pretty well. Atreyu got the crowd going from the first song on. They kept a very close contact to the audience, esp. Alex Varkatzas, their singer. He more than once got down from stage to join the people. That night a family with three kids was there. A rare sight in Germany, since younger kids usually don’t attend shows here. The band took the kids with them on stage for a few songs. Something they’ll probably never forget. The song list for the night included ‘Doomsday’, ‘Long Live’, ‘When Two Are One’, ‘Bleeding Mascara’, ‘Do You Know Who You Are?’ and also a cover of Bon Jovi’s ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’. Concert review: New Years Day with Down To Date in Munich. Review by Alex Bock

June 21, 2016

Munich, Backstage Club, June 8th, 2016 Just a few months after playing as an opener for Escape The Fate, New Years Day came back to Germany for their first headliner tour. That also led them to Munich. The Backstage, which is a bigger area with various different sized venues, was really quiet that night, because the only venue open was the club, which is the smallest of the main venues there. A good part of the audience that night was there on a special occasion. It was a school class with three teachers. They went to the show as part of a school project. If only I had a teacher like that in my school years…. Unfortunately, New Years Day didn’t have time to spend with the class, but Down To Date took time after their set to hang out with them for about half an hour. Pretty sure a special moment. Down To Date is a pop-punk/hardcore band from Berlin. They were the only opening band that night. They had the crowd [Read More]
