July 29, 2015

We recently brought you our interview and coverage of Tokio Hotel and their Feel It All World Tour, Part 2 The Club Experience North America leg. You can check out our interview with them and coverage of their set by visiting here: TOKIO HOTEL deliver arena experience to club venue! We were able to catch MXMS as they open for Tokio Hotel out on this leg of the tour. They bring to life their dreamy “funeral pop” that creates a mysterious and inviting vibe to the night. Their unique and addictive sound  “is the multimedia project of singer Ariel Levitan and pianist Jeremy Dawson. Harbored feelings and trauma each had hidden away for a lifetime floated to the surface in Jeremy’s studio they lovingly refer to as “the grave”…. Each story, each moment in their lives they recorded into a lyric, a song, into a vision. Starting with the song”omg”, their dual documented story of a violent, toxic life was born.” You can’t help but be whisked away into a musical journey of raw honest emotion [Read More]

Concert Review of Hardcore Superstar, Avatar & Q-Box in Munich by Alexandra Bock

July 23, 2015

Munich, Backstage Werk, July 22nd, 2015 It was one of the opening events of the annual ‘Free & Easy’ festival at the Backstage in Munich. It’s three clubs and an open air stage with bands from different musical backgrounds performing for free. 18 days party starting daily at 5pm. The atmosphere is awesome there. There’s a constant coming and going, ‘cause you can move around the areal and watch a bit of every band or just stick to one show. There’s different bars outside and places to sit or just hang out and talk. The weather god was with us and after a short shower it stayed dry, so from time to time you could leave the venue for some fresh air and a little talk. There’s many awesome bands taking part in that event. Best check the schedule out at http://www.backstage.eu/f-e So yesterday evening I decided to stick with one show. The evening started with a band called ‘Q-Box’. Based in Pentenried, which is a small town close to Munich, they can be considered [Read More]

July 20, 2015

Allow me to re-introduce you to Haunted by Heroes. These young rockers which features twins, Chris (drums) and Nick (bass) have been rocking out for nearly eight years. You might recall seeing them perform We’re Not Gonna Take It with Dee Snider on America’s Got Talent, on the Today Show as well as countless gigs with legendary rockers. Fast forward to today and they are still kicking ass and rocking out. While they might have started young, they have continued with their passion for music and have evolved into highly talented musicians and songwriters. With Max (who has been with them for several years and played with them back on America’s Got Talent) and Atreyu on guitar, Chris with his heavy hitting precision drums and Nick’s infectious vocals and slamming bass, these four have created a powerful sound that is soon to impact the rock scene.   We caught them perform last night as they opened for Dead Sara at DNA Lounge in San Francisco.  They were incredible as they got the crowd fired up with a 40 minute [Read More]
