Interview with Heidi Shephard of Butcher Babies at Aftershock Festival

September 27, 2014

We recently brought you our coverage of the return of the Butcher Babies at this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. They are one of the most energetic female fronted bands out today. What is really awesome is that these frontwomen could give many men a run for their money when it comes to bringing power and presence to the stage. They hit the stage and took control of the crowd, energized everyone and definitely raised the heat a dozen or so degrees! We had the opportunity to chat with vocalist, Heidi Shepard at Aftershock and we are pleased to bring that interview to you here: One thing is for sure, they definitely delivered an intense and energetic set. Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan from their blazing set: We were glad to hear them perform songs from their new EP Uncovered which is due out this week on September 30th through Century Media Records. The 5 song EP will feature cover songs that were chosen by each band member, and in the early summer [Read More]

One band we wanted to make sure to see at Aftershock Festival was none other than Escape the Fate. They have been longtime favorites of ours and to see them perform at this year’s Aftershock was a true highlight. They conquered the 100+ temps and delivered the fans a powerful energetic set. They came right out and started off with my favorite track, You’re Insane. The crowd went wild and if you didn’t think they could get any louder, they did. Everyone was moving around and singing along when they played another favorite, Gorgeous Nightmare. Eyes Set To Kill release lyric video for Little Liar and catch them out on tour!

September 19, 2014

Eyes Set To Kill have been busy with their non-stop touring. We caught their set at Aftershock and once again blew us away with their energy and killer music. The crowd went wild for them. Stay tuned as we will be bringing you full coverage of their set later this weekend. Meanwhile, they have just released a lyric video for their song, Little Liar . Check out the video here: Alexia had this to say about the song, “I started out writing this song about a woman named “Jodi Arias” who was on trial for brutally killing her boyfriend during the writing process of “Masks”. I found it fascinating that she kept denying and digging a hole deeper for herself by piling lies on top of lies. The whole world knew she was guilty but she still held on to her lies like she would eventually be set free. What I got from the whole story, was that the bigger the lie, the bigger the chances of getting caught. I think a lot of people, including me, have been [Read More]
