Interview with Heidi Shephard of Butcher Babies at Aftershock Festival

IMG_1002

We recently brought you our coverage of the return of the Butcher Babies at this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. They are one of the most energetic female fronted bands out today. What is really awesome is that these frontwomen could give many men a run for their money when it comes to bringing power and presence to the stage. They hit the stage and took control of the crowd, energized everyone and definitely raised the heat a dozen or so degrees! We had the opportunity to chat with vocalist, Heidi Shepard at Aftershock and we are pleased to bring that interview to you here:

One thing is for sure, they definitely delivered an intense and energetic set. Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan from their blazing set:

We were glad to hear them perform songs from their new EP Uncovered which is due out this week on September 30th through Century Media Records. The 5 song EP will feature cover songs that were chosen by each band member, and in the early summer of this year, they entered the studio with producer Logan Mader (DEVILDRIVER, GOJIRA, 5 FINGER DEATH PUNCH) to dissect and “butcher” these five classics, creating something all their own. Check out the track listing:
