Acclaimed actor, musician, and director Finn Wolfhard has officially released his highly anticipated sophomore album, Fire From The Hip, available everywhere now. Following the success of his debut album, Happy Birthday, Wolfhard returns with a collection of 12 tracks that expands on his indie rock roots while showcasing a more confident, dynamic sound.
Created alongside a close group of friends and collaborators, Fire From The Hip was inspired by classic records like Exile on Main St. and Beggars Banquet, while still carving out a style that is unmistakably Finn’s own. The album was recorded at Pachyderm Studios in February 2026 with engineer Andrew Humphrey, and the artwork was a collaborative effort between Wolfhard, Grant Prettyman of Belhum, Hudson McNeese, Louis Nicely, and Cadien Lake James. The album arrives via AWAL.
Speaking about the new record, Wolfhard shares, “I made this album with such an amazing and talented group of friends. I’m excited for people to hear the record, and hopefully how much our energy and enthusiasm bleeds through track by track.”
Throughout Fire From The Hip, Wolfhard leans into storytelling, exploring both personal experiences and the characters that have influenced his creative journey. The songs reflect an artist who continues to evolve, embracing change while remaining honest in his songwriting.
“I feel like I’m constantly coming of age and going through changes,” Wolfhard explains. “When I do a new record I feel like I’ve grown a little since the last one, so to me every new record is a little reintroduction.”
Fans can also check out the visualizer for “Follow,” filmed and edited by Hudson McNeese. The video captures the spirit of the song by blending live performance footage with moments of Finn and his friends exploring Chicago—the same group of collaborators who helped bring the album to life.
The new release follows Wolfhard’s acclaimed debut solo album, Happy Birthday, which has now surpassed 64 million streams. After completing a sold-out U.S. tour and headlining a sold-out show at London’s Electric Brixton, 2026 has already been another standout year. Wolfhard hosted Saturday Night Live, made his debut at the Met Gala, and is set to perform at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Osheaga, and Austin City Limits.
With Fire From The Hip, Finn Wolfhard continues to grow as both a songwriter and musician, delivering an album filled with memorable storytelling, bigger musical moments, and the creative confidence that comes from an artist continuing to push himself.
