Chicago’s Elizabeth Moen Releases New Video

July 10, 2026

Elizabeth’s move from Iowa to Chicago played a huge role in shaping both her songwriting and her sound. While she still holds onto those Midwestern roots, Chicago’s creative scene opened up new possibilities. Working alongside producer Spencer Tweedy proved to be the perfect match, with Tweedy keeping Elizabeth’s voice front and center while giving the songs a vintage-inspired feel that sounds fresh instead of nostalgic. Fresh off her performance at Chicago’s Solid Sound Fest, Elizabeth has released the video for her latest single, “Renaissance Man.” The track takes on the point of view of what she jokingly calls a “Chicago f*ckboy,” turning a frustrating dating experience into an infectious, sing-along anthem. Elizabeth says,   “This song is dedicated to the many people who inspired it and to the people who learned the hard way by trusting them.  I wanted to write something that I’d hope people would want to sing along to real loud in the car. It’s fun, cheeky, and a song to heed the warning of or find solace in after a [Read More]

The Last Dinner Party have returned with another captivating release, unveiling their new single, “Knocking At The Sky,” which arrives alongside the digital deluxe edition of their acclaimed sophomore album, From The Pyre.  The band describes “Knocking At The Sky” as the final chapter of the From The Pyre story. After building an album filled with rich storytelling and immersive worlds, they wanted to close the journey with a tale set in what they call the ultimate modern myth—Los Angeles. They paint Hollywood as a surreal fairytale, where dreams, ambition, and larger-than-life characters all collide in a landscape that is both glamorous and unsettling. Fans first got a taste of the song during the final night of the band’s sold-out UK tour at London’s Brixton Academy in late 2025. It was also the final track they recorded with producer Animesh Raval at Church Studios in Crouch End. The accompanying music video, directed by Sinclair Bryant, embraces the band’s own version of Los Angeles, drawing inspiration from classic Hollywood cinema, noir films, slasher movies, and [Read More]
