Faith and Bullets make their Hollywood debut at The Whisky a Go Go.

May 4, 2014

Our favorite local band, Faith and Bullets tore up the stage as they made their Sunset Strip debut at The Whisky a GoGo this past Friday night. We were there for the show and wouldn’t have missed it. We first featured Faith and Bullets on our Thirsty Thursdays a feature about bands who are thirsty for ROCK and the power to make it happen! This band is definitely dedicated and one of the hardest working band out here in the area.  All that hard work has paid off for them as they made down to their first of what I am sure to be, shows in Hollywood.  Here is our interview with Faith and Bullets from the Whisky a Go Go:   Faith and Bullets have a sound that blends old 80′s rock  like Motley Crue, Kiss, Poison, and Dokken with what I call “80′s on replay rock” like Crashdiet, Black Veil Brides, and Reckless Love. You have Stevie Mayhem on vocals who not only delivers incredible 80’s inspired vocals but has an amazing stage presence as well.  Rikk Alexander [Read More]

April 29, 2014

Lacuna Coil have just released their bad ass video for their song, I Forgive (But I Won’t Forgive Your Name) and it is awesome! It is one of my favorite songs off their new album, Broken Crown Halo. The entire album is filled with favorites from start to finish. They continue to keep making albums that take you on a musical metal journey that captivates you in every way. Check out the video here:   We also had the chance to chat with the beautiful and amazingly talented Cristina Scabbia when they stopped in Sacramento for their tour. It was one of my most favorite interviews that I have done, check it out here:     Lacuna Coil have been touring extensively in support of their highly successful album, Broken Crown Halo. After watching their spectacular set in Sacramento, I would strongly advise that you do everything to get yourself to a show and not miss them live. Lacuna Coil always deliver a set fueled with energy and captivates your every sense.  Check them out on the following tour [Read More]

Long time rockers, TESLA announce new album to be released in June!

April 28, 2014

One of my long time favorite rock band from Sacramento, TESLA have announced a new album set for release this summer. TESLA locked themselves away for weeks writing the new album and came up with fourteen solid tracks which will be SIMPLICITY. The album was recorded at their bassist Brian Wheat’s very own J Street Recorders. Legendary engineer Michael Wagener (Metallica, Skid Row, Motley Crue) was then tapped to put the final touches in place. The release date has been set for June 10th, via Tesla Electric Company Recording’s arrangement with Entertainment One Music and Distribution. It is so exciting to hear that new music is only a couple months away. TESLA has been one of my favorite rock bands since forming in 1981. I have probably enjoyed their shows about a couple dozens time over the years and each time, I leave with an even higher appreciation for them! TESLA is Frank Hannon, Brian Wheat, Jeff Keith, Troy Luccketta and Dave Rude.   TESLA performed a KILLER set on the Monsters of Rock Cruise and they have quite an extensive [Read More]

New Years Day stops in at Slim’s in San Francisco for the We Love Tour

April 26, 2014

This week was filled with great concerts and it was awesome to see New Year’s Day again as they came to Slim’s in San Francisco on Thursday night. They are on the We Love Tour featuring Combichrist and William Control. Once again they delivered a high energy intense set that had the crowd in awe. I think they set a record for crowd surfing during a set at Slim’s which rarely tolerates. It was probably the most energetic crowd that I have witnessed at their performances, full on mosh pit, crowd participation and infectious passion raging through the crowd. As I told you the last time I saw them, they once again made lifelong fans with their set. That is what happens when you see them live, you can’t help but harness their energy and enjoy the show and join the New Years Day family! Jake Jones on the guitar is like a modern day Doyle as he stomps around feeding the masses with his energy. Nikki Misery reminds me of the charismatic Marilyn Manson and is [Read More]

Interview with William Control as he stops in San Francisco for the We Love Tour

April 26, 2014

What a week it has been. Last night we caught up for an interview with William Control as he came into San Francisco for his stop on the We Love our with New Year’s Day and Combichrist at Slim’s.  William has been having great success with the release of his album, The Neuromancer which is a prelude previous works; Hate Culture, Noir and Silentium Amoris and all tell the tale of the nihilistic suicidal William Control. You can check out our review of the album here. If you don’t have it yet, pick it up…. Three Words….. Cinematic Musical Masterpiece! We had the chance to chat with William before his set and are pleased to bring you that interview here:   William came out to a packed crowd at Slim’s and delivered a full intense high energy set that had everyone dancing around in musical bliss. He was incredible as his charismatic personality held the audience captive and his vocals filled mesmerized the crowd. His stage presence is one of the best and through his performance you are [Read More]
