The Book of Curtis puts on a heartfelt soul touching set at the Troubadour

Saturday night we headed down to the Troubadour in Hollywood to cover the CD Release Party of Hard Rockers Diamond Lane which was put on by Lara Gladstone Presents.. The night was exceptional and not only did Diamond Lane put on a KICK ASS set which we will be featuring in a later post, but all the bands were amazing. The night started off with The Book of Curtis, which treated us all to a set filled with heartfelt songs that touched your soul. It was a set with a man and his guitar inviting us into his thoughts and world as we took a musical journey through his songs. Morrissey concert cut short due to being tackled by excited fans

Morrissey. What can I say about this man, with his incredible voice that became my safe haven in the those crazy angst filled teen years of my past. His voice has been the soundtrack of my life and the songs they sing have taken me through the best and the worst times of my life. I have Morrissey to thank for the wonderful gift of their music. That is such a shared sentiment by so many fans. You want to talk to him, touch him, hug him, thank him and that is exactly what many fans did and attempted to do last night. The 54 year old singer was tackled by several fans during the encore performance at the City National Civic in San Jose, Ca last night. Several of the first few fans made it to the stage and you can see just wanted to touch him and Morrissey so kindly obliged them all, even reaching out to those that were being taken away by security.
