Interview with Sydney of Detroit band, Stereo Jane

When you think of Detroit and music; you think of Motown and the starting point for so many artists! Berry Gordy’s Motown will historically have it’s place in music industry history.  Fast forward to today and Detroit is still delivering some of the freshest, most beautiful sounds to your ears. I recently introduced you to one of those fresh new sounds from Detroit, Stereo Jane. Stereo Jane features the energetic talent of young Detroit natives, 16 year old twins Sydney and Mia Schmier. Sidney is on vocals and  Mia is on drums. Also in their band is the talented trio of Joey Gaydos Jr. on lead guitar, Andrew Schachinger on keyboard and Randy Martin on Bass.  Together they are amazing and a force to be reckoned with. Lions Among Us take Katy Perry to a hard core place!

First you know I love my metal and I love my Katy Perry. So can you imagine what would happen when those two worlds collide??? Well, you don’t have to. Interview with Faith and Bullets

A couple weeks ago we told you about our first Thirsty Thursday spotlight bands, Faith and Bullets.  Our Thirsty Thursday features a young new band that is thirsty to rock and has the power to  make it happen. You can read our post here. Who is Faith and Bullets? It was started by guitarist, Rikk Alexander and then added vocalist; Stevie Meyhem, rhythm guitarist; Cody Gadomski and bassist Abel Lynch. French Metal band DAGOBA takes over San Francisco!

WOW! I know I told you about DAGOBA coming to San Francisco to open up for returning metal band, Dir En Grey but you can’t believe how awesome they were!  I have been looking forward to seeing DAGOBA live since we have been playing a lot of their heavy songs from their latest album, LP “Post Mortem Nihil Est.” It was recently released here in the US only a couple weeks ago and on Sunday night they came to The Regency Ballroom on the Ghoul 2013 Tour with Dir En Grey.  We had the opportunity to interview Shawter, composer and singer for DAGOBA and here is that interview:   They really came out and put on an amazing show. Black Oxygen breathes life into The American Dream

It is Monday night and are you ready to get hooked on an KILLER Rock Band??? Sit back, relax and breathe  in the fresh new life of Black Oxygen!  Holy Shit, these guys are amazing. They have a sound that is definitely of their own and it reminds me of a blend of Stone Temple Pilots and Puddle of Mudd. Founder David Lyle not only is an amazing singer/songwriter but also the lead guitarist. Then you have bad ass Jordan Myer on bass and solid drumming by David’s younger brother Nick Lyle. These three guys create a powerful trio that has a big sound that will have you take notice. Black Oxygen released their full length debut album, “The American Dream” that has so many great songs on it that it will continue stay on the charts. Interview with Neal Middleton of Royal Bliss

Royal Bliss have announced their release date of February 18th, 2014 for their upcoming album, “Chasing The Sun”. These Salt Lake City rockers have been hard at work on this album. Their first single they released, “Cry Sister” has been climbing the active rock chart! You can pick up the new single today on Itunes here. Just last week, I told you about Todd Morse and his wonderful project,Toddsplanet. They did the most amazing cover of the AC/DC classic, “Back in Black”. If you missed it, check our post here. You might know Todd from H20 as well as touring with The Offspring but I want you to get to know more about Todd and his new project, TODDSPLANET.  They recorded the song at DPS Studios and it was produced by MA3 Productions.
