Check out side project; Cold Creek County by My Darkest Days members

November 10, 2013

My Darkest Days is one of my favorite bands, so it is no surprise that I want to share some news about a couple of their members. Drummer Doug Oliver and Bassist, Brendan McMillan. They have a side project Cold Creek County that you  have to check out. If you like country or your country with a rockin flare, these guys are for you. In addition to them, you have Brandon Scott on Lead Vocals/ Acoustic, Trevor MacLeod on Lead Guitar and Josh Lester on Guitar and/Backing Vocals. I checked out their music and I am really liking it. Vocals are amazing and the lyrics are heartfelt and draw you in emotionally. One of their songs, “Sometimes” is absolutely amazing and tells a story that pulls you in with it’s lyrics. “Saddle Up” brings a really rockin flare to it and delivers some great energy. Let’s all show our support to our My Darkest Days guys and check out Cold Creek County! You will enjoy them! ~ Marisol Information & Links: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ColdCreekCounty Twitter: https://twitter.com/coldcreekcounty Reverbnation: http://www.reverbnation.com/ColdCreekCounty

The Alien Ken has landed and his new release is BAD ASS!

November 10, 2013

Alien Ken has recently released his new single, “Cleanse My Claws” and I am hooked on it! You might know Alien Ken from his work with K[nine] and Moth Circus but his solo project is what you are really going to love him for. Alien Ken released “Cleanse My Claws” from his album, “Contact”. This song is heavy, deep and has some bad ass vocals. I love the intensity that this song delivers!   You have to check it out for yourself here. That has some incredible guitar work and crunchy bass that I want more of. I can’t wait to hear what else Alien Ken has in store for us. The song, “Cleanse My Claws” has recently been nominated for Best New Song of 2013 and you can cast your vote here for it. So check them out and visit their social media sites to stay up to date on the music news. We will try and bring you an interview as well.  ~ Marisol   Information & Links: Website: http://alienken.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/alienken Twitter: https://twitter.com/alien_ken Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/boddah1982 Itunes: https://itunes.apple.com/no/artist/alien-ken/id484175450?l=nb

Trash The Brand gives us “Swamp Rock” that you have to hear!

November 9, 2013

I love my Rock-a-billy and I love my southern rock and soulful blues.  Well trio rockers, Trash The Brand from Jackson, Tennessee have created a new sound that will have you begging for more. They have been described as “Swamp Rock” and their music brings southern rock with sweet blues and is an instant hit.  The first time I heard their song, Devil’s Ride the vocals reminded me of Zakk Wylde and then you are treated to the bluesy rock that is sexy and invigorating. There may be only three in this band, but they have a big sound that is creating high energy rock in a soulful package. Scott Austin is on vocals and guitar, Scott Little on Bass and vocals and Steven Pulley on Drums. They have been garnering attention as they were recently chosen as Indie Band of the Week in RockRevolt Magazine as well as recently getting signed to Sent Majority Group. We are going to be bringing you an interview with Trash The Brand in the next couple weeks so [Read More]

The Killing Lights, a new chapter for Michael Vampire

November 8, 2013

We have always loved Michael Vampire and his work with Vampires Everywhere. Today Michael has announced a new chapter in his musical journal and we are very excited to follow and support him all the way. Earlier today Michael posted the following on Facebook: FROM MICHAEL V: I would like to personally welcome you to the new chapter in my life “The Killing Lights”. As most of you know I was involved in a near fatal car accident many years back. I feel the name The Killing Lights properly represents my struggle with this tragic event & the new chapter in my music career. We will be entering the studio in 2014 to record our debut record on Century MediaRecords. CMR has been amazing with this transition & their positive energy towards the change has been awesome. We will be doing a UK Tour in Feb. to give a glimpse of what’s to come. I have so much respect for my loyal VE fans over the years that have fought with us & stuck by [Read More]
