Interview with Joey Roxx of Burn Halo at Aftershock Festival

Burn Halo which was created by James Hart (frontman of Eighteen Visions) sometime in 2007. We have had the pleasure of seeing Burn Halo about a dozen times since 2009 and they always put on an incredible show. James Hart always delivers intense energy with his vocals and Joey Roxx, their kick ass guitarist is right up front and center (well stage left to be exact!) Ryan Frost has returned to rhythm guitar. During Aftershock Festival weekend we ran into Joey Roxx and Ryan Frost at the Steel Panther pre-show at Ace of Spades, always fun running into them. Interview with Butcher Babies at Aftershock Festival

We have been thoroughly enjoying BUTCHER BABIES debut album “Goliath” and I love their just released video for “Magnolia Blvd.” Last weekend we had the opportunity to catch BUTCHER BABIES take over the Aftershock Festival as they played to full crowd on Saturday. They put on an incredible set and had people talking about them the entire weekend as one of the crowd’s favorites. Heaven’s Basement highlights and interview from Aftershock Festival 2013

Aftershock Festival brought out a whole long list of great bands and one that I was truly looking forward to was Heaven’s Basement!!! We have been listening to them for a while and it was great seeing them at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in May. I couldn’t wait to see them live since they truly just rock with their hit single, “Fire, Fire“. So when I saw them on the bill for Aftershock, I couldn’t wait to see them. Well they took over the Ernie Ball stage and truly delivered an arena style performance. These young guys know how to ROCK and had the crowd instantly pumped! Interview with Lydia Can’t Breathe as they set out on tour with Otep

Lydia Can’t Breathe, Florida rock/metal band has just hit the road to tour with Otep. Nothing More steals the show at Aftershock Festival 2013

Well Nothing More from San Antonio, Texas and New Orleans, LA definitely stole the show at the Aftershock Festival. On Saturday they played the Ernie Ball stage and had everyone taking notice of this high energy alternative rock/metal band. We were so glad to catch their set and even more excited when we learned that on Sunday they would be playing the main stage since a couple bands could not make it to the show. If you were lucky enough to see the “Shreds of Insanity” guitar exposition last month at Carvin Hollywood, you know that it featured some of the most talented young shredders! Presented by Century Media Records, Dunlop Manufacturing, and Cleartone Strings, straight from the world famous Sunset Strip at the Carvin Hollywood Pro Audio room, featured four metal shredders. Jake Dreyer of WHITE WIZZARD, Parker Jameson of STARKILL, Dave Silver of SAVAGE MESSIAH and Rick Di Marco of DEATH DIVISION.
