Sleeptalk release new music video for their song, Black Hole

August 25, 2015

Space rock quintet Sleeptalk have just released a new music video for their song “Black Hole”. The video was directed by Strange Productionsand shot by Wolford Media. Vocalist Anthony Fitzpatrick comments, ‘”Black Hole is about being so far from reality that you have to leave, but there is that someone you love and care about that you don’t want to leave behind. Throughout the song I am constantly using the metaphor of being lost in space which is where the title ‘Black Hole’ came from. Myself, as well as the rest of the band, have a huge fascination for space, so there was no hesitation in using that name/metaphor. The video is highly inspired from a movie called Enter The Void which I felt was the most honest fit to inspire this song/video around.” Check out the new video here: The song takes on a cosmic ride as you find yourself swirling in that Black Hole, grasping for bits of reality in a flood of escapism. It is a great new track and you can pick up the [Read More]

Motörhead delivers epic set at The Warfield in San Francisco

August 25, 2015

We are only days away from the release of Motörhead‘s  new album, Bad Magic on August 28th. The album is a pure musical gem that highlights their signature sound and takes you on rock and roll adventure. They have also set out on a 40th anniversary world tour in support of their new album. The tour kicked off last week in Riverside and we were excited to catch their San Francisco show last night at The Warfield. Opening up the night was Crobot who blew us away last year when we first saw them roll through San Francisco at the DNA Lounge. You can check out our interview with them from that night and full coverage by heading over here: Interview with Crobot at DNA. They started the night off with their dirty groove style complete with riff heavy stoner rock vibes. Next up was a stellar performance by the legendary Saxon. Holy hell they were incredible and their energy was nonstop. With a set list that took us back in time for some treasures that [Read More]

Billy is joined by his Idol bandmates Steve Stevens and Erik Eldenius, Jane’s Addiction’s Dave Navarro and rock legend Ozzy Osbourne (lead vocals on “Gods,” aMorrison/Osbourne co-write) for the new album. GOD SHAPED HOLE—co-produced by MORRISON and Erik Eldenius–was mixed by Mike Clink (who produced Guns N’ Roses‘ landmark debut album, Appetite for Destruction) and John Spiker. Billy explains about the album, “Initially the plan was simply to record an EP of covers, but as with everything, the plan grew.  I had a song I had written with Steve Stevens that I wanted to sing on, so that got thrown into the pot.  Erik (Eldenius) threw some ideas at me, and we started to record originals as well. My two best guitar mates from the two bands I’m in, Dave Navarro (Royal Machines and previously with Camp Freddy) [Read More]

August 25, 2015

From Ashes to New is a great group of talented musicians from Pennsylvania. These guys were each known before for playing in bands in their local scene. Unfortunately, many bands are short lived or members change. Then you seem to be left with the truly faithful musicians who live their passion for music in everything that they do. What is even better, is gathering those musicians to form their own band. They not only bring their years of experience but their variety of musical influences. From Ashes to New have just released an innovative lyric video for their song, Through It All. The song is off their upcoming debut album Day One. You can pre-order the new album by heading over to their Pledge Music campaign http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/fromashestonew/ Check out the video here: Matt Brandyberry comments about the new song, Through It All” is a song that many people can relate to.
