Holding Absence release brand-new single ‘Birdcage’

April 17, 2020

Fast-rising Welsh post-rock quartet HOLDING ABSENCE have released a music video for new track ‘Birdcage’. The track and video mark the release of the bands 7” picture disc, which also includes last month’s single ‘Gravity’. This limited double a-side release is available exclusively at http://www.holdingabsence.com. Vocalist Lucas Woodland had the following to say: “‘Birdcage’ is probably the most poppy track we’ve ever released as HA, and we’re really proud of the outcome. Working with Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon/Twin Atlantic/Don Broco) gave us the great opportunity to refine our sound in a way we’d not yet tried before, so the aim for this track was to make it as catchy and sleek as possible. We’re very happy with the outcome and can’t wait for people to get their hands on the double-sided picture disk!”. Trivium release a brand-new track ‘Amongst The Shadows & The Stones’

April 16, 2020

Just about one week to go until the new Trivium record ‘What The Dead Men Say’ will be released. Today the band shared the third new track from that album ‘Amongst The Shadows & The Stones’. “The reason I love metal is it goes against the grain. The best way to overcome darkness is to make something creative. Whether the impact is small or large, I hope it’s positive for listeners. We hopefully built a community to make them feel safe where they can talk about what they want, enjoy it, and get help if they need it. It’s possible to even find a lot of love and light in there.” Matt Heafy For the last 20 years Trivium – Matt Heafy (vocals, guitar), Corey Beaulieu (guitar), Paolo Gregoletto (bass) and Alex Bent (drums) – have, aside from a Grammy nomination, taken a lead role in modern Metal. The Roadrunner debut ‘Ascendancy’ is already one of the musical highlights of the genre and won amongst other things ‘Album of The Year’ by KERRANG! in 2005, [Read More]

Adrenalin-fueled, Rock n’ roll circus and recent JUNO nominees, PALAYE ROYALE, have released an animated video for their brand new single, ‘Little Bastards’, the opening track of their highly anticipated new album ‘The Bastards’ – which will be released May 29th on Sumerian Records. In Hearts Wake share new song after three years

March 22, 2020

Australian metalcore band In Hearts Wake released their newest song ‘Worldwide Suicide’ a few days ago. It is a direct and passionate statement against ecological and social injustice. With ‘ECOCIDE IS SUICIDE’ as one of the main messages, it’s supposed to show everyone that it’s time for positive actions now. Ecocide is the extensive damage to, destruction of or loss of ecosystem(s) of a given territory, whether by human agency or by other causes, to such an extent that peaceful enjoyment by the inhabitants of that territory has been or will be severely diminished. (proposed amendment to the Rome Statute by environmental lawyer Polly Higgins) “With 69.2 f (20,7 C) the Antarctic reached an all-time high. The Australian bushfires burned down over 12 million hectares of land and over one billion animals were killed. The climate crisis is coming and we have to react, as long as it can be averted. It is time for a profound system change and modifications on a personal and collaborative level.” ~ Jake Taylor (vocals) The drum’n’bass intro, which [Read More]
