Architects release new single “deep fake”

August 31, 2022

Shortly after the announcement of their new album and new tour dates, UK-Metalcore-legends Architects released their new single “deep fake” via Epitaph yesterday. The song is the opener of their highly anticipated new studio record “the classic symptoms of a broken spirit”. It’s a pulsating and bombastic album with a rave-rock-intro, which peaks in a vortex of pure hard rock riffs. After the hymn-like appetizer “when we were young”, which has reached 10 million streams so far, and the second forerunner “tear gas”, the pure power of the third pre-released song shows again, why Architects are amongst the most successful rock acts of the current decade. “the classic symptoms of a broken spirit” will already be the 10th studio record of the band and follows last year’s highly praised UK #1-record “For Those That Wish To Exist”. The band didn’t have much time to celebrate the success extensively, because they soon started the writing process of the new songs, which will be on the new record. It was produced at Deacon’s Middle Farm studios and [Read More]

Weatherstate release new single ‘Headstone’

January 10, 2022

As Weatherstate approach the release of their second album ‘Never Better’, which will be out 11 February via Rude Records, the Weymouth punk band has revealed another new track from it ‘Headstone’. Showcasing a slower, more contemplative side to Weatherstate, building to that anthemic, singalong chorus complete with signature Weatherstate riffage, it’s a track about fulfilling your potential. “Headstone is about trying to make something out of ourselves in the time we have here,” says guitarist Callan Milward. “It’s okay to go through periods of life unhappy and that’s what makes the good bits all the better. The lyric “Catch me I don’t want to come down” specifically relates to friends being around when you need a safety net and how important it is to have a support network that can get you through those monotonous times. We’re only around for so long, and that’s the way it is, we shouldn’t beat ourselves up too much, and it’s completely okay to sometimes just roll with the punches.” Never Better’ is the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Born [Read More]

December 3, 2021

London based ska/punk/rock band Buster Shuffle announced a brand new record  today. “Go Steady” will be released March 18th, 2022 via the band’s own label Do Nothing Records. In addition the band also shared their new single/video “New Badge For My Uniform”. Bandleader Jet Baker comments: “It was a few hard years with the pandemic and therefor we thought that we ask our loyal fans, that grew with us for more than 10 years, to help us release the album. We have never done something like this, but we saw other bands working with their fans successfully to release music and we thought that our time has come now.” Jet turned at the peak of the lockdown to the friends of punk music, to release a bad-ass AA-side-7-inch-single “Unsung [Read More]
