The first time we saw Grace Bowers was back in 2024/25 at BottleRock Napa Valley, and she completely captured our attention and impressed us with her incredible guitar skills. Ever since then, we had been waiting for the chance to see her again, making last night at The Guild Theatre feel like a full-circle moment. The evening kicked off with Mint Green delivering a fantastic set that had the crowd singing along and fully engaged from the start, their cover of Creep was killer. Recently relocated to California, Mint Green brought an infectious energy to the stage, and we’re already looking forward to catching more of their upcoming shows.
As the venue continued to fill, Grace hit the stage and completely owned it from start to finish. Not only was her guitar playing absolutely jaw-dropping, but her vocals carried such a charismatic energy that you couldn’t help but get swept up in the emotion, passion, and intensity she poured into every song. Whether she was diving into a bluesy groove, channeling an angsty punk-rock vibe, or delivering a deeply emotional ballad, Grace gave 150% with every performance.
Adding even more power to the night was the undeniable chemistry between Grace and her band. There was such a cohesive spirit onstage as they fed off one another’s energy, elevating each song and pushing the performance to another level. Another standout moment came with a rousing rendition of Brutal by Olivia Rodrigo, that had the crowd fully locked in.
Another standout aspect of the set was how it truly offered a little something for everyone, regardless of your musical preferences. From blues infused grooves, gritty rock energy, infectious riffs, to emotional moments, the setlist felt like a journey that kept the crowd fully engaged. Perhaps one of the most memorable parts of the evening was looking around at the audience. The crowd was a mix of young adults discovering the excitement of live music alongside seasoned music lovers who have spent decades chasing that concert high. Yet throughout the night, those generations blended together effortlessly. There was dancing, cheering and an undeniable shared excitement in the room. Grace seemed to become a musical fountain of youth for the crowd, reigniting that feeling of pure adrenaline and reminding everyone exactly why live music has the power to bring people together.
One thing is certain: we cannot wait to see Grace Bowers again. With her sonic guitar skills, commanding stage presence, and powerful vocals, she is clearly on a rapid upward trajectory, and her future continues to shine brighter with every performance.
