By the end of January one of Rock’s supergroups The Winery Dogs will set foot on European soil again. The tour starts on January 29th at the Essigfabrik in Cologne and ends on February 25th in Göteborg, Sweden. Check out all the exact dates of that tour here:
Thankfully The Winery Dogs aren’t just any supergroup, put together for the sole purpose of playing a few shows together, maybe write some songs and then go their separate ways. Every band member already created music history on his own. Richie Kotzen (vocals/guitar) is well-known for playing in bands like Poison and Mr. Big, Billy Sheehan (bass) best known for his time with Mr. Big, but also for working with Steve Vai, David Lee Roth and many others. The line-up is completed with Mike Portnoy (drums), who is well-known for being the drummer and co-founder of one of the biggest progressive rock bands, Dream Theater. All three exceptional musicians individually, together they create a perfect unit.
A bit over 2 years ago the band put out their self-produced debut record, which placed high on several charts and was followed by an extensive tour with lots of sold out shows. In October 2015 they released their second album ‘Hot Streak’ and they are out on tour again.
About a month ago The Winery Dogs aired the first video for the new record for the song ‘Fire’. It’s a wonderful ballad you can check out here:
