The night that changed our lives…. Tubbs Fire sweeps Santa Rosa

October 25, 2017

(Today, October 25th is the first time in 16 days that I have been able to log onto our site. I apologize for not being able to post! I appreciate all the support from everyone.) It was just another hot dry night at our home in Santa Rosa, also the home of Music Junkie Press. Brandon and Stephen were at the park playing baseball. Rockin Ryan was busy playing his guitar as I was going through mementos from my parents, separating things from their estate to be given to each of the six siblings. Reading funny birthday cards and each little note that my mother saved for over 40+ years.  I would never have imagined that those precious items would soon be incinerated in a fire, just hours later.   Our timeline….. October 8th 10:45 pm Power went out briefly for approximately 30-45 seconds, happened twice in 5 minutes. 11:15 pm Brandon and Stephen were sound asleep which means that Ryan and I \would stay up and take care of Music Junkie Press work, [Read More]

Thank you David Bowie for being the soundtrack of my life. 20 Favorite David Bowie Tracks.

January 11, 2016

It is just heartbreaking for me to report the news of the passing of David Bowie earlier tonight. I ran across the news on David Bowie’s Twitter account and I was shocked. January 10 2016 – David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle… https://t.co/ENRSiT43Zy — David Bowie Official (@DavidBowieReal) January 11, 2016 After checking and rechecking with numerous sources, in search of the confirmation that it was an internet hoax, I broke down when I read the tweet from David’s son:   Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all. pic.twitter.com/Kh2fq3tf9m — Duncan Jones (@ManMadeMoon) January 11, 2016 I couldn’t believe that the man whose music was literally the soundtrack of my life has passed away. He had just released his new album, Blackstar only two days ago. His new album had been described by The Times, as Bowie’s oddest work yet. Mötley Crüe set to release full length live concert film of final performance

December 30, 2015

It is amazing to think that we are just a day away from the final performance of Mötley Crüe. They are set to perform one last time tomorrow night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The two year Final Tour has been quite a success and definitely the tour of the decade!  We caught one of the last dates of the tour in Las Vegas and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! We were blown away with their spectacular performance last Sunday at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The venue was packed to capacity and the adrenaline was running high. The set was incredible and included fan favorites, both old and new. Tommy Lee and his Cruecifly had us in awe as well as when Nikki and Vince circled the arena on huge overhead platforms, and Mick rose from the stage on a mighty lift. The passion was evident in every member as well as every audience member. It created a magical night that will live on in my memory. Our photographer [Read More]
