Concert review: Lord Of The Lost with Scarlet Dorn and Aeverium – Munich

Munich, Backstage Werk, March 30th, 2017

Announced a few months back, the Raining Stars Tour 2017 started out in Munich on March 30th at one of our favorite venues in Munich, the Backstage.

I had the pleasure to shoot three amazing bands that night – Scarlet Dorn, Aeverium and Lord Of The Lost.

The show started out with Scarlet Dorn, a brand-new act. That night she had her very first live performance and she did a great job. About two years ago Scarlet was discovered during a contest that Lord Of The Lost put on. Chris Harms, vocalist of Lord Of The Lost, and Benjamin Lawrenz from the Chamaeleon studios in Hamburg decided to write and produce a record for the young artist. It took about two years until on March 21st 2017 the first song ‘Heavy Beauty’ was released. Many other people helped with the recording and producing progress. By now there’s a three song EP out that you can download for free here: http://www.scarletdorn.de/ .

Second band that night was Aeverium. They just recently toured with Delain. They’re naming bands like Evanescence, Within Temptation and Lacuna Coil among their influences. Just like Lacuna Coil they have two vocalists, Aeva Maurelle and Marcel ‘Chubby’ Römer. Their voices match perfectly. With their catchy songs, it didn’t take long for the band to get the audience going. They recently released a song/video for the song ‘What About Me?’, which you can check out here:

Finally Lord Of The Lost took the stage. First date of the tour can involve everything, from technical problems to the chaos of an unprepared crew. Not so with LOTL. The band was motivated, well-prepared and the audience expectant for an awesome show. And they got what they came for. The band started out with some songs from their current release ‘Empyrean’, ‘Drag Me To Hell’, ‘Miss Machine’, ‘Interstellar Wars’ and ‘No Gods, No War’. Like every LOTL show I attended so far, the audience had as much fun to watch the band play as the band showed that they had a blast performing.  No real breaks in the performance, they played a long (over 90 minutes!) and powerful set with the audience singing and dancing along.

The Raining Stars tour is still under way. In September, the band will also play in the UK. So, if they come to a town near you, don’t miss out on seeing them live. Here’s your chances
