Halestorm, Lita Ford and Dorothy ROCK the Ace of Spades in Sacramento!

Ace of Spades in Sacramento definitely delivered a night of incredible rock n roll this past Saturday night. The night kicked off with the soul grabbing rock set of Dorothy. This was my first time catching Dorothy live and will surely not be last. I was completely mesmerized by the powerful magnetic vocals of Dorothy, along with the shredding fuzzy guitar by DJ Black, the thunderous bass of Gregg Cash, and hard hitting drums by Dylan Howard. Together, they brought out an energy that got the crowd moving and ready to rock the night away.

Lita Ford hit the stage and she obviously has been kept in a time capsule, she had the energy, the fervor, the beauty, the vocals of her 20 year old self. Time has stood still for her as she gave the crowd a set that had them cheering and screaming from start to finish. Her set included Runaway songs, her solo hits, and new songs, including a great song she co-wrote with the legend Lemmy Kilmister. It was awesome to see Patrick Kennison (Heaven Below) bellowing smoking solos as he was wielding his guitar. Marty O’Brien was magical on the bass and got the crowd riled up with energy. Seeing Bobby Rock on drums was pure enjoyment. You can’t help but be blown away when he plays, dishing up precision drumming with each beat! The band sounded spot on and outstanding. We were in awe of Lita’s performance and can’t wait to catch her again next month at the House of Rock in Santa Rosa on November 18th. Pick up your tickets here. The crowd went wild as Halestorm took the stage. The sold out venue was brimming with excitement as they started the set off with Love Bites (So Do I). It is remarkable to see how much this band has grown and developed over the years. I remember the first time seeing them back in 2009 in Las Vegas. They have always been one of the hardest working bands out there, complete with 100% dedication and determination. It is no wonder that they have achieved so much in these past years.

Each time we see them, they raise the bar higher and higher, and each time, they seem to exceed our expectations and shine with their spectacular performances. Pure rock and roll adrenaline running through those four! Lzzy not only grabs your attention with her powerful stellar vocals but she kicks ass on her guitar. You then are drawn to each side of the stage as you can’t decide who to watch, Joe or Josh, as they invite the crowds into a place where nothing matters but the music. Right in the back is the full non stop adrenaline fueled Arejay, killing it on the drums. His drum solos will leave you picking up your jaw and wiping the drool from your chin.
