Lotus Crush release poignant music video for ‘All The Same’ that chronicles life on the street

So many times people just walk or drive by a homeless person on the street, possibly avoiding any eye contact. Why? Because so many people just dismiss the homeless and if they look at them, they become real to them, real people, real situations, real feelings. I have been guilty of that myself in the past, until I took the time to talk and get to know people’s stories. The more I have done that, the more I realized, we are all the same. We all can be one paycheck, one injury, one bad decision away from living on the street.

Lotus Crush have released a new video for their song, All The Same which takes the camera to the streets of Skid Row in Los Angeles. The video was directed by C. Thomas Howell and it is a beautiful and poignant video that reminds us all that we are ALL THE SAME! C. Thomas Howell comments about the video:

“In our video…you see that there is still love and hope and that’s what our story is about. There will be those that have a hard time with it. It’s not filled with pretty people and it’s not fake. It’s real. I’m very proud of the video. I love the song. I love the images that we caught. I love how it came together and I love the story that we tell.”

The heartfelt song captures the infectious sound and style of Lotus Crush. The song is off their album, Rabbit Hole which was released through Cavigold. The album was recorded at the iconic Robert Lang Studios in Washington with producer Todd Burman.

Howell and LOTUS CRUSH are also working together to raise awareness and donations for the charity foundation This Time Tomorrow; Howell sits on the organization’s board.Using music and the arts to inspire hope, This Time Tomorrowprovides financial support to individual families and organizations focused on cancer research, education or advocacy. Each year, an artist is selected to re-record a version of their theme song, and this year’s featured artist is LOTUS CRUSH. The song will premiere November 21 at their annual gala in Milwaukee. In addition, all proceeds raised from the song’s sales go directly to benefit families in need.

In case you missed it, earlier this year, we had a chance to chat with Lotus Crush at NAMM 2015 as they were working on the new album. Check it out here:
