Slinger Francisco releases their new single, Bad News and it is a stellar one!

February 25, 2014

Slinger Francisco from Raleigh, North Carolina premiere and release their new song, Bad News today. When asked about the story behind the song, Doug Chambers explains, “A few years had passed where I was sitting on earlier versions to Bad News. I never thought it would end up airing out cancer so close to my home and heart. In a time where it’s not uncommon for terminal illness to rock the boats of families, yet a ‘it’ll never happen to me’ mentality prevails, we can only restlessly wait and hope for healing.”   It is such a heartfelt emotional song yet has a great tempo and uplifting spirit to it. The vocals are passionate and the music is vibrant and colorful.  Check out the song here:   Definitely a song you are going to want to listen to and keep on your playlist.  You can head over to Itunes here and pick up the tune now. Be warned, you will get hooked on this indie-rock band, which is a good thing! ~ Marisol Information & Links: [Read More]

Chiodos premiere their new song, 3 AM and link for pre-order for DEVIL

February 25, 2014

Today, Chiodos premiere their new song, 3 AM on Billboard. Their new song 3 AM is off of their upcoming album, DEVIL which is set for an April 1st release through Razor & Tie. Singer/Songwriter, Craig Owents takes more about the very honest and personal song, “I think I had something to say and was in the right place to say it this time, For a good six months when we started talking about the new Chiodos record and started talking about the next phase of what it is we were gonna do, I couldn’t really sleep. I grabbed my guitar and went downstairs at 3 a.m. one morning, the sink was dripping in the background. And I thought about the Beatles song, ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps,’ and I was thinking about how simple it is and how you can just sing about the things that are really happening in your life…without hiding what it is I”m trying to say. It didn’t have to be this metaphorical epic or anything like that. I think it’s [Read More]

Lily Elise surprise show  blows away Molly Malone’s Saturday night. Patrick O’Heffernan, Host of Music Friday Live!   Patrons at Molly Malone’s Saturday night got a nice bonus, thanks to a cancellation and some rescheduling: the nationally recognized R&B singer Lily Elise rocked them out at the coveted 10:45 pm slot.  Lily Elise, best known for being coached by pop icon Christina Aguilera on NBC’s The Voice, is a powerful R&B vocalist who can hit the high notes with ease and belt the blues with best of the blues queens of any era. And she did both to the delight of a house full of dancing fans. Lily Elise got things going right off the bat with “Dance with Somebody”,  the George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam song made famous by Whiney Houston on her first album.  She carried it off with her own high energy style that got everyone moving and brought cheers from the floor. Elder Brother debut album, Heavy Head set for a March 11th release on Pure Noise Records!

February 24, 2014

You couldn’t imagine what type of day I have had. It was one of those that I am pent up with frustration and anger about a situation that I cannot change. Of course, I always turn to music to get me through those times, whether it be listening to heavy loud metal, angst filled punk to fun pop and soul nurturing tunes.  Tonight, I was glad I turned to Elder Brother and their new debut album. (Thank you Austin for sending it over, perfect timing!)  It was the perfect music that nurtured my soul with thought provoking lyrics, catchy melodies and touching vocals. Elder Brother is the newly formed Indie-Rock band that features Kevin Geyer (The Story So Far) and Dan Rose (Daybreaker) and the album features additional contributions in the studio from Matthew and Charles Vincent (The American Scene).   Their debut album is set to release through Pure Noise Records in just about two weeks time and today I had the opportunity to listen to it and it is brilliant! I love it and I can’t wait [Read More]

New Years Day deliver a powerful intense set at their shows, a must see!

February 24, 2014

We had the opportunity to catch New Years Day last week at the Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA. It was a night filled with a variety of bands from TrackFighter, Eve to Adam, Escape the Fate and New Years Day. It was great first off to see that whomever you were there to see that night, everyone enjoyed everyone’s set!  Here are Rockin Ryan’s photos of the night:   I had been talking to a couple people who had never seen New Years Day before and they said that after, they were definitely life long fans. That is what happens when you see them live, you can’t help but harness their energy and enjoy the show and join the New Years Day family! Jake Jones on the guitar is like a modern day Doyle as he stomps around feeding the masses with his energy. Nikki Misery reminds me of the charismatic Marilyn Manson and is a madman on his guitar. Nick Rossi on the drums displays impeccable precision drumming as he always stays on [Read More]
