March 19, 2014

There is a new band on the horizon that has me very excited. California Breed is the new powerhouse trio and it features the legendary vocals of Glenn Hughes, the spectacular drumming of Jason Bonham and introduces newcomer guitarist Andrew Watt. The band is set to release their self-titled debut album on May 20, 2014 on Frontier Records and was produced by Dave Cobb (Jamey Johnson, Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings and more) Get ready for this one!  “It’s proper rock,” Hughes told Classic Rock Magazine, “but at the same time it’s very now. Andrew is as influenced by Mick Ronson as he is Jimmy Page.” “This kid is amazing,” says Bonham. “The first time we met I thought he looked like the white Jimi Hendrix. And he plays in the studio likes he’s onstage!” Today California Breed releases single and video for their song, “Sweet Tea”. Check it out here:   Sweet Tea definitely kicks ass as it brings to life the big ’70s sounds of rock that we miss! Glenn’s vocals just take you on a ride and it has some killer guitar [Read More]

Steel Panther’s new album ALL YOU CAN EAT is a face melting, panty drippin, baby makin album!

March 18, 2014

We have all been waiting anxiously for the new album All You Can Eat by Steel Panther and the time is almost among us! Only two more weeks to go!!! Well, I have to tell you a secret, I got to hear the new album today and have to say one thing…….. HOLY BALLS! THIS ALBUM IS FUCKING AWESOME!! It has everything you could want in rock and metal from anthemic rock songs, arena size ballads, blazing guitars, great harmonies, power house drums, sexy bass lines and those 80s style vocals that we can’t get enough of. There are some bad ass guitar solos, smokin riffs, catchy choruses, I just can’t tell you how epic this album will be.  The songs are fun and infectious and you can’t help but love them. Definitely a party album for any night of the week.  If they had a panty meter for this album, it would be a full on soaking wet one for this new album!  We will have to watch out for the next baby boom [Read More]

Ed Kowalczyk is our Bottle Rock Napa 2014 Featured Artist of the Day

March 18, 2014

Today we have a very special treat for the featured artist/band of the day. It is Ed Kowalczyk (former lead singer and founding member of LIVE) and he is going to bring his stellar voice to Bottle Rock Napa 2014! I still remember the first time I heard the amazing voice of Ed, it was back in the ’91/’92 and as usual, I went out in search of live bands on a Friday night.  My group of friends and I went to the Paradise Lounge and the DNA Lounge in San Francisco and LIVE was just about to perform there. I remember getting up and going right to the front of the stage and watching the entire set in awe of that amazing voice. Ed’s voice is powerful yet vulnerable, commanding yet inviting, just pure blissful. Ed has ventured out in his solo career for the past several years and have had quite a successful run. When he performs you may get treated to some of your favorite LIVE songs or revel in the bliss [Read More]

Buckcherry rocks the Heritage Theater for their Spring Tour

March 17, 2014

Buckcherry have recently begun their Spring Tour and we were lucky enough to catch them on their 2nd night at the Heritage Theater in Campbell, CA. The Heritage Theater is a historical venue that dates back to 1938 as it was built as the Campbell Union High School Auditorium. It has undergone restoration and renovations and the Heritage Theater is once again live with music and celebration. Opening for Buckcherry was local bad ass rockers, Spiralarms and British rock sensation The Virginmarys. Both bands were amazing and you can check out our features on both of them.  Buckcherry came out and rocked the house. It was awesome, there was not one person sitting as everyone was up and ready to rock. The energy was high octane and infectious as Buckcherry played a full set with old and new songs, all being fan favorites. You can check out the set list in the following photo. First, I want to tell you about the girl in the photo and give her praise as TRUE [Read More]
